B.E.T. To Launck U.K. Channel
 Black Entertainment Television (B.E.T), which is owned by Viacom, is crossing the pond next week on February 28th and bringing it’s programs to British viewers. The network will be available at first to 8.8 million homes which are signed on to the digital satellite company they have partnered with. For now BET UK will only broadcast BET’s already developed and syndicated American shows, i.e. 106th and Park, American Gangster, and the ever demeaning Hell Date. However with time they hope to develop shows more pertaining to the British culture and audience. Michael Armstrong who serves as BET’s International General Manager, reflects their plans in this statement, “For the UK version of BET, we will be giving BET's U.S. content a regionalized look and feel that reflects the UK marketplace, and as we grow and develop the channel, we look forward to partnering with the UK creative industry to give BET an even stronger British accent." BET currently reaches 87 million households throughout the U.S and Canada with it’s most popular shows being American Gangster and 106th and Park.
