Brisco Arrested for Violation of Probation

Miami, FL. – It seems like Lil Wayne isn't the only one of the Cash Money brothers that is facing legal issues, Brisco, recently signed artist to the label is also having legal problems of his own. The Opa Locka Goon was arrested on February 20, 2008 for failure to pass his mandatory drug test through requirements in his probation. Brisco was seized upon arrival to his probation office in Miami, Florida.

On a phone conservation with Brisco's manager, Mo' Money Jit, the story, as told to 24hourhiphop.com, behind his recent arrest extends from an incident that occurred on April 1, 2007. Apparently, Brisco and his manager, Mo' Money Jit, were arrested on the Florida Turnpike in Indian River County for marijuana and gun possession charges. Prosecutors agreed to drop the gun charge as he pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor marijuana charge and received one year probation. Brisco violated his probation in his third month by failing a mandatory drug test. Upon his recent arrest, Mo' Money Jit's original private attorney, Reginald Mathis,negotiated with prosecutors to agree for Brisco to serve a 30 day bid in the Indian River County jail and in turn they arranged to terminate the probation. Mathis and Brisco agreed to the deal due to the negotiated lesser sentence, otherwise the jail term would have been longer. With Brisco's successful career on the line, that was not a choice they were willing to gamble with.

Mathis also worked out a deal for Brisco's Manager, Mo' Money Jit, as he will be voluntary surrendering himself to the Indian River County authorities on April 1st, officially a year after his arrest, to serve a six month bid on a charge of gun possession by a convicted felon. He is slated not to serve the full six month, based on good behavior; his sentence will only limit four and a half months.

At press time, Brisco is currently being held by authorities until his court date on Wednesday, March 5, 2008. 24hourhiphop.com would like the fans to keep Brisco and Mo' Money Jit in their thoughts and prayers as we will do the same.

In more positive news, Brisco is officially set to go on tour with Lil Wayne on Tha Carter III tour beginning May 1, 2008. Dates and locations are still under negotiations.
