Despite her reputation as a trouble maker, incarcerated rapper Foxy Brown was recently released from solitary confinement on good behavior.

The rapper was supposed to serve 76 days in "punitive segregation," locked away for 23 hours a day, but Foxy got out in 40, according to TMZ. A source said she was one of only four females released from the unit early out of the 20-plus prisoners confined there, and while in the hole she didn't receive any special treatment.

As previously reported Foxy (born Inga Marchand) was thrown in the hole for getting into a shoving match with another inmate, verbally abusing a corrections officer and refusing to provide a urine sample.

Her manager, Chaz Williams, blamed the perceived bad behavior on Foxy's hearing problem. The three strikes that sent her to the hole didn't include Foxy's skipping her October 12 court date. The rapper twice refused to board a Rikers Island bus headed for court, but made the rescheduled proceeding. Apparently, no more time was tacked on to the original 76 day sentence for the missed date.

Foxy is presently serving a year long bid at Rikers for hitting her neighbor in the head with a cell phone.
