Lil Wayne Accused Of Copyright Infringement Again, Jadakiss Turns Down Rick Ross' Offer to Join Rap Beef

Ok, so apparently Lil Wayne didn’t get the message from his last copyright infringement case.  This time his single “Mrs. Officer” featuring Bobby Valentino on the Carter III album is in question. This lawsuit originally filed in January by Producer Mali Boy, whose real name is Michael Bradford, has been filed in Georgia due to claims that Lil Wayne’s camp has been avoiding the lawsuit.

According to sources, Mali Boy claims that he is the original producer of the track, which is originally named “Crush” and was produced for another artist by the name of Sky yet somehow it found its way into both the hands of Weezy, and Deezel, the producer of the “Mrs. Officer” track.

A press release stated this: It is currently awaiting a responsive answer from the defendants. According to the plaintiff Michael Bradford, Lil Wayne's attorney, Mr. Sweeney has attempted to evade the summons in order to answer the complaint. Deezel has filed for two thirty (30) day extensions to file an answer, the other defendants in the case were given a sixty (60) day waiver of summons. BMI and ASCAP has been removed as defendants from the civil action through an amicable settlement; whereupon they have agreed to place a freeze on all performance royalty payments worldwide, and to disclose the accounting statements for the disputed composition. Cash Money Records has agreed to put a freeze on mechanical royalties payments for all retail, digital downloads and ringtone product sales until the civil matter involving "Mrs. Officer" is resolved.

I don’t understand why it is so hard to give the original writer and/or composer of a song his or her appropriate credit and acknowledgment. It’s truly not that hard.  Hopefully this is just a misunderstanding because if not, there may be a big price to pay. Lil Wayne’s camp hasn’t yet released a statement regarding this matter, but I’m sure there is more information to come.

Jadakiss Turns Down Rick Ross’ Offer to Join Rap Beef

Obviously beefing wasn’t enough. Since when have rappers started recruiting other rappers to join in on the lyrical tirades? According to D-Block’s Jadakiss, he turned down an opportunity to possibly join Rick Ross by doing a verse on his upcoming “Mafia Music” remix, which of course is apart of this Rick Ross/50 Cent rap beef. 

Jada spoke with radio personality Jenny Boom Boom, where he stated that he would not be joining in on these publicized rap beef festivities.

"They ain't gonna pull me in that," Jada said. "I ain't got nothing to do with all of that. When I was going at it with 50, it was just me and my D-Block alliance. I didn't see nobody. I didn't hear nothing, it was no 'join forces.' I just went in to my own barrack with my own soldiers. I ain't joining no alliance, that's what got me in trouble the first time."

Finally, someone with some damn sense deciding to stay out of all the drama. Rappers are tagging other rappers, pulling them into their own personal beef like it’s a game of two-on-two basketball. 

Who got next? I’m willing to bet that there’s no surprise when I reveal who it may be. Ja rule, recently announced that he will be definitely hooking up with Ross on the upcoming record.  Ja had this to say:

"Yeah, it's f*cking hilarious," Rule said in an interview regarding 50 and Ross' current beef. "I'm sittin' back getting a good laugh and sh*t. But yo, check me on that 'Mafia Music' remix. Holla back. Ross, you know how we do, n*gga."

So now Ja screaming out, “Pick me, I got next?” This whole thing is unbelievable and getting so out of control. Actually, I’m tired of seeing and hearing about it but as always, we know this is not the final chapter.  It was a good look for Jada making the decision to stay out of the drama. At least someone is still focusing on the music.
