Young Jeezy and members of his crew were involved in a scuffle that broke out around 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning on the 1200 block of Washington Avenue. Marco Raez, a passerby, reportedly begun filming the altercation and was spotted by Tramiel De Juan Golden, a producer and one of Jeezy's associates. According to Raez, Golden demanded the camera from him but he refused. Soon afterwards, Raheem Karriem, another one of Jeezy's associates, begun shooting, forcing Raez to give up the camera.

Jeezy and about nine other men then fled the scene in two sport utility vehicles but authorities eventually caught up with them and found a semi-automatic firearm under Jeezy's seat. Golden was charged with strong armed robbery and Steven Lesly Savain, another Jeezy associate, was taken into custody on trespassing charges stemming from previous warrant for his arrest. Before he was stopped by police, Karriem smashed into three parked cars. Charges pressed against Karriem were not available at press time.

"Jeezy adamantly denies that any of the weapons belonged to him and I am confident that Jeezy will be vindicated," Scott Leemon, Jeezy's lawyer told the Miami Herald. Jeezy was freed on $7,500 bond on two counts of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. Jeezy is slated to be arraigned on the gun charges March 31 in Miami-Dade Circuit Court. Though court records list Jeezy as 28, his lawyer claims he's 26.
