Mystikal Denied Parole, Remains In Jail
Louisiana rapper Mystikal who is currently serving a 6-year sentence for sexual battery and extortion, after he forced his hairstylist to perform sexual acts on him and videotaped the incident, was denied parole recently by a Louisiana State parole board. Mystikal (real name Michael Tyler) has been in a Homer, Louisiana prison since 2003 after being convicted on the charges. It is not known why he was denied parole despite having a good prison conduct record, (I’m guessing because he’s a young black entertainer), but it is now likely that he will serve the full remainder of his term which has another two years left. Once released Mystikal plans to pick his career back up again as seen by this quote from a source close to the rapper, "Mystikal is in great spirits, despite the parole board's decision not to release him. He's been writing and focused on his career once he is finally released." Mystikal is been known for his hit “Danger” which featured Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes. Mystikal is also a decorated desert storm Veteran.
