T.I. stars in upcoming biopic, American Gangster

After the release of the smash hit ATL in early 2006, T.I. has recently been signing on for more roles in the past year. His portrayal as Rashad in his debut in ATL has risen his acting talent to a whole new level in his career, producers have noticed his stage presence and how he can actually capture an audience. With the upcoming release of his next feature film he will be slated to co-star alongside Academy Award winning actors: Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington in a Ridley Scott film ingeniously titled American Gangster.

The mob film is a biopic starring Denzel Washington playing the infamous drug lord, Frank Lucas. American Gangster is based upon his true life of crime during the 1970s. The film narrates the graphic story of his scheme of smuggling heroin into Harlem through returning coffins of American Soldiers from the Vietnam War. Fellow rapper Common will be playing the brother of Frank Lucas and the father of T.I.'s character. Veteran actor, Cuba Gooding, Jr. will also make an appearance playing the role of another known name, Leroy "Nicky" Barnes. The film is set to hit screens November 2, 2007 for an early Thanksgiving release.

This movie should have been made a long time ago, this is definite a guaranteed blockbuster with many A list actors, but with A list actors comes egos and overshadowing, hopefully that doesn't happen in this movie. Definite perfect title for the people portraying the characters and the characters that once were.

Method Man to Visit Schools for "Say No to Drugs" Program as Plea Bargain

We all know the history behind the How High star, Method Man, I really don't need to go into detail, but let's just say green, blunts, and smoke are the elements that usually fill his everyday lifestyle. Earlier this year, Meth was arrested on Marijuana drug possession and driving under the influence. A court decision lowered the charges to disorderly conduct when Method Man agreed to visit fifteen High Schools and discuss with students the dangers that drugs can cause. His defense attorney says that he is thrilled to do it and is more than willing.

A role model of weed smoking is going to tell a much of students that drugs are bad? I wonder how that's going to work out; I know I won't take him seriously, would you? All I got to say is HA!
