DMX's Arizona home raided

Cave Creek, Arizona - The controversial rapper is back in the news again with allegations of similar charges. Lately, DMX has been a huge magnet for law enforcement officials. Besides his charges on speeding, driving with a suspended license, and possession of drug paraphernalia, apparently a history of animal cruelty charges has also plagued him. This recent case might just be his second strike.

On the morning of August 24(Friday), DMX's Arizona home was raided by sheriff deputies as they were searching for mistreated animals. At the time of the raid, DMX wasn't at the estate and hasn't been for about two months now. Deputies apparently received a complaint that the animals on property were being mistreated and didn't have the essential nourishment to survive. Upon investigating the property, evidence proved that food and water were scarce and the animals were under 115 degree heat without shade or shelter. Law enforcement officials took twelve pitbulls and several assault rifles into custody.  At press time no charges or arrests have been made, but officials are still in development of a major investigation into the alleged involvement in illegal dogfighting and the charge of animal cruelty. All weapons seized on property are still being checked if proper licenses were applied and if the sale was legal.

In 2002, the same incident occurred in his New Jersey home where it was also raided and at that time thirteen pitbulls were seized along with crackpipes with residue. DMX pleaded guilty on charges stemming from animal cruelty and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition to that, he's also currently under several bench warrants involved with speeding and driving with a suspended license. He has been scheduled to appear for court in Yonkers, New York in October.

Damn, dawg, what's up with X, he can't just stick to rapping. People tell him not to drive and he still does, he says he loves dogs and preaches about it, but they starve. I'm really starting to think this man is addicted to breaking the law on purpose just to get that high off getting caught.

Michael Vick suspended from NFL and facing jail time for illegal dogfighting

Richmond, Virginia - The Atlanta Falcons all star quarterback plead guilty, while accepting a plea bargain, last week on charges of illegal dogfighting and conspiracy of running an interstate dogfighting ring. As of last Friday (August 24) Michael Vick has been suspended without pay from the National Football League and waiting trial to receive his verdict.

Vick wrote in a deposition that he assisted in the funding of the gambling association called "Bad Newz Kennels." In 2001, he purchased the operation property for $34,000 in Smithfield, Virginia. With Vick's finance and capital, that association bought, raised, and trained pitbulls to engage in fights on the same property and in other states throughout the majority of the dogs' life span, after in which they would be inhumanely euthanized over the course of several fights or they would just kill off one another. He goes on to insist that he never physically participated in the betting nor did he ever receive any winnings.

At Press time, Nike, Upper Deck, and Rawlings have ceased their contracts with Vick and claim that they will discontinue their business relationship with the QB throughout the course of his remaining sports career. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on August 25 that the Atlanta Falcons are seeking to recover $22 million in bonus funds that was in part of Vick's salary. When his verdict is reached he'll be facing a consecutive term of five years in prison and a fine of $250,000.  On the evening of August 25 (Friday), NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that Michael Vick has been officially suspended from the league indefinitely without further notice.

So the dirty birds are out an all-star Quarterback. Last season, he was the first QB to ever run a total of 1,000 yards; he just ended his fucking career. Didn't we also drop his little brother Marcus last year? Besides the ATL fans were getting sick and tired with Vick anyway, how do you leave your own home stadium saying fuck the fans? He needs to get his priorities straight. ESPN is stating that his sentence would be twelve to eighteen months, yet the judge is seeking a five year term. Give us your opinion on this whole incident.
