Alicia Keys' Myspace is Hacked and Playground for Malicious Software

Recently, in a string of targeted artists’ MySpace pages, Alicia Keys was one page amongst the ones that were hacked and infected with malicious software. In reference anyone visiting her page will be prone to trojan horse viruses and self downloading software.

According to the New York Times, the phishing of accounts is an illegal procedure and is a repeated occurrence. If you were to visit her MySpace page you would be prompted to download a video codec that responds as a download viewer to see a non-existing video, where upon download, a Trojan horse will automatically be embedded into the hard drive and continue to download malicious software behind internet browsing, making the user unaware of the consistent downloads. This malicious software allows hackers to monitor the user’s activities and causing their computer vulnerable to be viewed. At press time, MySpace has fixed the problem and is in the process of developing active measures to prevent future occurrences.

MySpace is quite possibly the easiest to hack and phish, as it has been done several times before. Account holders and viewers beware any download prompt on the website; believe me you don’t want to fuck up your computer.
