Kanye West takes back MTV
Smack Talk New York, NY – After all
the whining and complaining about the events that occurred at the
MTV Video Awards and losing in five different categories, Kanye
West is now reconsidering his choice of words towards the dominating
music network. Apparently bashing and complaining
about Britney Spears and MTV’s choice of music performances didn’t
do much to solve anything in his corner. Having the number one record
in the world doesn’t allow for ranting and raving to a music network
mogul that practically pushes your music on a high level and it probably
isn’t the best of ideas. With that being said, West was recently interviewed
by Access Hollywood and he had this to say about his actions
that the VMAs: "I think that I have a
powerful voice and I might have misused it on that night. I think I
said a lot of things that were true but maybe it wasn’t my place to
particularly call those things out." When asked about his opinion
on Britney Spears and her apparent musical decline including the awful
MTV performance, he answered, "I don’t really care, honestly.
That is my answer, I don’t care. I got problems of my own; you know
what I’m saying? I got my own stuff to deal with.” At press time, it is still
not quite clear whether or not Kanye plans to do any future events with
MTV, but with this interview, it shows anything could happen. It’s interesting how his
ranting and raving caused such a huge commotion, I don’t even think
MTV gave a flying fuck what Kanye had to say, half the nation couldn’t
care. Having the biggest record in the industry puts you in the forefront,
but doesn’t give you the right to throw a bitch fit. However, his
actions did land him a spot on last Saturday’s NBC hit late night
show, SNL. They did a comedic spoof where he played himself blaming
his faults and losses on other people and the media. That was some funny
shit. Miami, FL. – Sources have
confirmed that Ted “Touché” Lucas has apparently signed
Trick Daddy’s release from Slip N Slide and has made him
the biggest free agent on the Market. There are speculations circulating
that several labels are on the hunt for T Double D with big figure numbers.
There is still no word on who he will sign his next couple of years
to or if even a longevity contract on that level. With the interview that occurred
on 99 Jamz a couple of weeks back, he quoted that the best path
for his music career would be to sign with Fifty and G-Unit.
There is still no word on whether or not that actually went down, but
Trick is definitely keeping his options open and weighing heavy decision
making. The Mayor of Miami got exactly
what he wanted, I was surprised to see Lucas sign his release, but I
guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. Apparently the whole G-Unit
venture was submitted by Buck to both Trick and Fifty. It would
be interesting to see the major reactions if Trick does decide to sign
with them. That addition to G-Unit South could either make him
or break him; we’ll just have to see where the situation goes.
