Ginuwine Signs to Bogus Record Label

New York, NY – If you’re wondering why you haven’t heard much lately from the R&B superstar, Ginuwine, apparently it’s because he was signed to a phony record contract to a company that never existed. After a period of time, he never began recording or even received any royalty checks, his assumptions led him to believe something was up. The smart idea would’ve have been to check your sources and references before closing the deal, but I guess that never occurred to the 'Pony' originator.

At press time, Ginuwine has filed a lawsuit against the phony record label dubbed King Music Group, Inc. out of Memphis Tennessee, owned solely by a personal acquaintance he knew as Michael Bourne. The contract stated a $1.75 million venture with a $500,000 advance after the recording of the first album under King Music. In the past six months no recording time has been scheduled, nor has Ginuwine received any monetary units. While checking records, no trance of any existing company can be found in any state across the U.S., Bourne’s number is unlisted and no one in Ginuwine’s legal team has been able to reach him. In the lawsuit filed earlier in the month, Ginuwine is seeking four million dollars in damages for fraud, illegal misrepresentation, and branch of contract. His attorney, Corey D. Boddie, states that because he was under contract, stipulations didn’t allow him to record under any other company or he would be in branch of contract.

24hourhiphop.com tried to find records of the alleged King Music Group, Inc. and its affiliates, obviously that option was unsuccessful.

Dammit, I thought yo ass had some type of business sense, word of advice, fire your manager. You’re letting the whole new R&B era pass you by; these other artists are taking over, your time is almost over, not everyone can stay on top forever. Taking a hiatus is one thing, but going ghost from the industry based on legal matters, well that just means you gotta fix your problems.

Ja Rule to Release New Album “The Mirror”

New York, NY – After a long hiatus, Ja Rule has returned to release new album called “The Mirror” due out in November. With the singles “Body” and “Uh Ohhh” already circulating through the tracks, anything is bound to happen with his next attempt of trying to gain back the spotlight.

Rule goes forth to explain that this album is a reflection of events that have occurred in his professional career over the course of the past several years. Between the Gotti Bros. and their federal charges to the public beef with G-Unit leader, 50 Cent, he describes this album to be a more mature approach than his past LPs. He left this to say about his upcoming “The Mirror.”

“When you've been in this business a long time, things sometimes spiral into something bigger than you expected, coming through has made me wiser and more open-minded. Such situations not only build character, but show other people's character. The album is very grown-up, expressing a lot of true feelings. But it's a fun album as well, a dramedy.” – Reuters/Billboard

You can check both videos in the 24 On Demand section and give us your comments on whether or not his comeback is inevitable.

I’m not even going to front, Ja Rule has the lyrical matter, but he’s taking the same approach as what he did with “Rule 3:36” and “Pain is Love.” I don’t quite understand why he always seems to take the same route. I don’t know if ya’ll agree with me, but he needs to go to back to the days of “Venni, Vetti, Vecci.” And that’s real.
