Jay-Z’s New Album inspired by biopic American Gangster It has become apparent that we will finally get to hear another album from the Def Jam CEO Shawn Carter. After just a year of his comeback album, he has finally made plans to work and complete his next masterpiece. The new album is tentatively entitled American Gangster. Following behind the release of Ridley Scott’s new film, the new album will be debuted after the film hits theaters. After a private screening of the new biopic American Gangster, young Hova had an inspiration that lead to the announcement of the news of a new album. Sources close to project say that the new album has the return sound of Jay’s Blueprint, one of his top selling albums to date, a little less sophisticated from his last album Kingdom Come. On the official trailer, Hova’s hit track Heart of the City (Ain't No Love) ingeniously embeds within the dialogue and concludes the teaser respectively. The unconfirmed single off the new album is Blue Magic produced by the Neptunes. The Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam album will hit stores November 6, following behind the Universal/Imagine film slated to hit theaters November 2. Coincidentally, this is a great comparison of the King of Manhattan during the 1970s to the King of Manhattan of the 2000s. I am really looking forward to this new album, especially if he’s returning to his sounds of the original Blueprint. Question now is, will Jay do additional responses to Young Weezy as he did in T.I. vs. T.I.P. or will he subside that and not think twice about it? Whatever the situation might be, the album will definitely be an imprint in Hip-Hop history.
Snoop Dogg Sentenced to Probation and Clean Up Duty After several run-ins with the law over the course of the years, one conviction has finally caught up with him. During an arrest in September of 2006, Snoop Dogg was arrested for carrying a collapsible baton in the John Wayne Airport in California. His attorney told officials that it was a video prop and advised Snoop to plead not guilty, but he said he wanted to rid himself of this legal situation. He was sentenced to three years’ probation and 160 hours of community service. At press time, Snoop has other pending charges that also stemmed from incidents that occurred in 2006. What do I got to say about Snoop, he’s a West Coast icon? Would you believe he’s denied entry in the Britain and Australia, now that’s fucked up? With the Juice back in court, Snoop probably made the best decision by pending guilty to a lesser charge. Like he would actually have to serve those 160 hours of community service, let’s be real, Nicole Richie only served a whooping 82 minutes of her jail sentence.
