305DJs: First of all, Congratulations on getting signed. When we last interviewed you, "Hustlin" had just been played on the radio and you said it first, it's going to be the biggest record in the world and that's what it's turning out to be. So how does everything been since then?

Rick Ross: "You know, first of all, Thank You on the deal part. I've just been patient. I've been grinding a long time. It's good just to see everything come to pass. I'm taking one day at a time. Working harder than ever. Still in the streets."

305DJs: How does it feel to finally get signed to a major label?

Rick Ross: "I'm gonna be honest. I feel the same. I knew how long [it took]. You got to believe my ni**a. When I looked you in the eyes, I believed. So I don't feel no way yet, sitting down, meeting Jay-Z, closing the deal."

305DJs: How did it feel the first time you sat down with Jay-Z and met with him?

Rick Ross: "You know me being a fan of the game, that was just big for me personally. For me personally, that was a big day. Then just to be able to chop the business up made it the best situation."

305DJs: What made you choose Def Jam over all the other labels in the bidding war?

Rick Ross: "The best deal."

305DJs: What was it that they could offer you that no other label could offer you?

Rick Ross: "It wasn't about what they could offer me. It's what they did offer. I love their system. I love to see what they do. It's Mariah Carey, Young Jeezy, Kanye [West]. It's a lot of key players that I personally want to work with."

305DJs: I know with the deal done now, in your last interview you said you wanted to get a Phantom. Are you closer to getting that?

Rick Ross: "Yea. The Bentley GT. Get the Phantom in about 6 months."

305DJs: It was also reported that you are the newest member of Boyz N Da Hood. How did that all go down?

Rick Ross: "We're still working on the paperwork. I talk to Block. Sat down with Puff [Diddy]. I love what they represent. Block is like my brother. I just want to get the business wrapped up. Our lawyers are talking right now. Once we wrap that up, it's going to be official."

305DJs: Did you start working on new music for that project?

Rick Ross: "Yea. I've been recording and sh*t, sending the pro-tools up to Block. They ready to release a single. I'm ready too."

305DJs: When do you expect your debut album to be released?

Rick Ross: "[In the] summertime. We gonna shoot the video. Hopefully summertime, August, September maybe. It will be this year."

305DJs: Now that your signed with Def Jam and you got an album coming out, what artist or producer out there that you haven't worked with, would you like to work with?

Rick Ross: "First and foremost I'm looking forward to doing my Jay-Z record. Get in the studio with Nas, Young Jeezy, the whole Def Jam line up, whoever, Mariah Carey, Ne-yo. Shout out to Shakir. That's my brother. Big up to him. He's the next ni**a running the game. Shout out to E Class."

305DJs: How does it feel to have 3 of the hottest singles in Miami with the Khaled single (Holla At Me Baby ft. Lil Wayne, Paul Wall, Fat Joe & Pitbull), the Dre single (Chevy Ridin High) and your single (Hustlin)?

Rick Ross: "OOOO. It feels real good. To see all the time pay off at once. That's why we in the booth writing as we do this interview. I'm writing a song as we speak. I can't stop. I ain't happy yet. It's just the beginning. We going to arenas. Hood to hood. Ghetto to ghetto. Stadiums. Clubs. Hole in walls. On my next album, I'm gonna be the first ni**a to get Jay-Z and R. Kelly back on a record together. That's my second album. On this first album, y'all gonna get a f**king classic. I'm gonna rep Dade County. Miami, Florida. The whole f**king dirty south. I'm gonna rep the whole f**king hip-hop game like no other. Much respect to all my other ni**as doing their thing. Carol City Cartel on deck. That's the dirty south supergroup. 305DJs: How does it feel to have two of your records played in New York, a market that's hard for any artist to break?

Rick Ross: "You know what I've always said, cause I said this a long time ago. New York ni**as are some of the realest ni**as. Miami ni**as are the realest ni**as, but New York ni**as are some real ni**as and real recognize real. That's the way I feel about that. Torch, out of Carol City Cartel, he's from the Bronx. Real ni**as. I got real street ni**as in the BX. I got love for them and they got love for me. Shout out to DJ Cipha Sounds. Shout out to DJ Absolute. Number 1 DJ in the world, DJ Khaled. Rick Ross: "You already know. We in the streets. Those my little ni**as. I set my little ni**as up to do a T-shirt company. They're profiting over $15,000 a month."

305DJs: Is there any way anyone outside of Miami can get the T-shirts?

Rick Ross: "We don't even want anyone outside of Miami to rock this yet. I told them to know what they doing first. Get their bumps and bruises before you get ready to do anything else. There's no rush. It's just another avenue of revenue. I'm big in real estate now too. Shout out to Jay-Z and L.A. Reid. Don't get it twisted. 305DJs.com, they get it live, hot off the press. Rick Ross: "Be looking for the "Hustlin" video. It's gonna be #1 on 106 & Park. Get ready for the "Hustlin" remix with Jay-Z. Get ready for the second single and then the album. I'm still not sure if it's going to be 'Port of Miami' or 'Career Criminal' because I want to rep Miami as much as I can. So if I get another chance to say Miami, I want to say it. So I might make the album title 'Port of Miami' just so I can say that more. Port of Miami, I like that. I'm reppin Miami. Ni**a don't like it, holla at me."
