It’s Cool To Be Smart kicked off the First Annual Toy Giveaway for the Boys & Girls Clubs at Hot 97 in NY on Friday December 15th and this week at Hot 107.9 in Atlanta. Atlantic Records Hip-Hop Artist Saigon and Ms. Raqiyah from HOT 97 and KISS played Santa Claus for the day as they passed out toys for the excited kids of Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club of the Bronx; and the children had a special guest stop by, Swizz Beatz to join in on the fun. During the special Hot Toy give away, selected children were pleasantly surprise when they were invited in the studio with HOT Radio Personality, DJ Enuff to conduct a Shout Out Drop for the station for 2007. To end the day the kids took a group photo with Senior Promotions Director, Donyshia Benjamin, Saigon and Raqiyah.

Other Major artist participated in the cause by making sure single parent mothers and their children from the Boys & Girls Clubs receives toys this Christmas Holiday. Artists includes: Lil Jon/CRUNK!!! Energy Drink, T.I., Music Producer Sean Garrett, Yung Joc, DJ Toomp and SAMMIE at Hot 107.9 in Atlanta. Music Super Producer Sean Garrett stated, “This is my second year donating to the organizations efforts. I grew up in the Boys & Girls Clubs in Atlanta and it’s something I will do year after year to support”.

Grand Hustle, T.I. and Big Kuntry which have been large supporters over 3 years for It’s Cool To Be Smart, will spend one whole day this week before Christmas giving out needed toys, clothes and yes, even bicycles to the children of the Boys & Girls Clubs from BankHead Courts. Also T.I. ,will provide needed toys for children at the NFL-YET Boys & Girls Clubs of New Orleans in support of the New Orleans Saints facility.

Lyfe Jennings and Khao in Atlanta made special donations for their hometown in Toledo and Montgomery, Alabama. Khao will also partner with Hot 105.5 radio station for a special Christmas Breakfast for single parent families and children at Montgomery Boys & Girls Clubs. Paul Wall and Swishahouse lent their support once again as well. “We wanted to do something a little different than last year during this Holiday Season and we are excited that all our sponsored partners came through”, stated Curtis B. Executive Director of It’s Cool To Be Smart.

Letoya Luckett and Ms. Luckett (Mother) also joined the organizations efforts this year by donating clothes from Letoya’s clothing line and presented for selected Boys & Girls Clubs teens on America YNET. Letoya's mother, Ms. Pam Luckett was named the organizations single parent mothers advocate this year. “I am a single parent mother and I applaud the organizations strives for the Boys & Girls Clubs parents and I am looking forward in supporting the single parent families especially the mothers across the country”, stated Ms. Luckett.
