TV and Music Producer DJ Drastic X Wins Emmy Award
On December 1st, 2007, local Miami, Fl radio DJ and TV/music producer H. Kilzi, also known as DJ DrasticX, was honored with an Emmy award alongside Carla Hernandez and Samuel Hernandez II for his involvement in creating a Hip-Hop inspired on-air promo for a popular sports television program called “Sports Wrap” on WFOR-CBS4 in Miami, FL. Kilzi produced the song for the promo which features a lyrical Jim Berry, CBS 4’s main sports anchor and reporter, along with former Miami Dolphin player turned reporter Kim Bokamper, and sports reporter Jill Martin. “There’s a world of ideas to be explored when it comes to Hip-Hop. You can take the art to so many different levels when you’re creative with it. I’m trying to show everyone that Hip-Hop is not all negative and can appeal to a bigger mass of people,” said the local DJ shortly after receiving the award in Orlando, FL. In his career as a producer, DrasticX has created music for superstar recording artists Pretty Ricky and Rick Ross among others, and has written and produced hundreds of on-air television and radio promos. On the radio, DrasticX delivers The “It’z All Gravy” Show every Saturday night on WRGP-Radiate 88.1/95.3 FM in Miami, FL. The show consists of exclusive interviews and mixes of new and popular Hip-Hop from around the United States. It’s also partly designed to give local artists a gateway for their music to be heard. A variation of the show is featured on AOL Radio as well. Recently, DJ DrasticX has enjoyed the success of being featured on both Sirius and XM satellite radio with DJ EFN and platinum recording artist N.O.R.E.Click Here To Watch 'CBS Miami Sports Wrap Promo' Produced by Drastic X
