Honestly, I think the award ceremony was very nice. It was a good turn out and deserving talent was recognized and awarded. I agree with the winners of mostly all the categories that were presented. BUT the performances are a totally different thing! There
where also some good moments and bad ones…

PERFORMANCES, SOME BAD, SOME GOOD
The Ludacris and Pharrell “Shake Your Money Maker” performance SUCKED! What in the hell was Pharrell doing. Half the time he didn’t look like he knew what to do with him self. After a while, I started to wonder if this was Ludacris’ song or Pharrell’s, because I can remember the camera loving Pharrell. I barely saw Luda. The only time Pharrell looked remotely hyped at all, is when Ludacris got to the part where he’s like, “…just be thankful Pharrell give you something to bump to.” I mean other than that, their performance was boring and typical.

NOW the Ludacris and Young Jeezy performance was HOTT! Them two have chemistry on stage. It probably helps that they have that ATL-Connection going on, but they looked like they were really having a good time on stage. And whatcha’ talk bout’, Jeezy don’t need no Hype-Man.

FAVORTIE MOMENTS: QUEEN MARY! RIHANNA IS SLICK…
Moving right along…I love the way Mary J. Blige took home NINE Awards last night…and she won in some nice categories, R&B/ Hip Hop Artist of the Year, R&B/ Hip hop Best Album of the Year, R&B Artsit of the Year. I also loved the way she put a sock in the media outlet by showing up with her husbad, Kendu. The two of them were looking very happy together. For those of you who don’t know, there had been some speculation that the two were headed for a divoice, but as seen on the Billboard Awards, that turned out to be a false allegation.

Another favorite moment is win Rihanna was completely taken by surprise when she took home her award for “Top Songstress” (in which, she went up against, Mary J. Blige and Beyonce in this category). When she went up stage to give her acceptance speech, she said, “that was a really tough category” and quickly pointed to Mary and said “Mary”. The way I see it, see was making it known that Mary made the category tough, not Beyonce. Although I’m not a Rihanna fan, I thought that was funny.

OPPS, CHRIS BROWN DIDN’T MEAN IT LIKE THAT!
On behalf of Chris Brown, I want to apologize for his over-excitement. When he accepted his award for “New Artist of the Year” he said, “First of all, I want to thank my fans. And second, GOD.” Then he went on to announce all the other people who made it to his thank you list. Now, when he did this, I wasn’t thinking, ‘that’s fucked up’, it was more like ‘aww, bless his heart’. Because I’m sure he didn’t mean for it to come out like that. I’m not that mean you guys.

And Denise Richards…I know she had to be embarrassed. Her voice was cracking far worse than a young 15-year-old boy, who’s entering the process of his voice changing. I mean, I even became embarrassed for her.
