UPN has announced that it's given the green light to develop a drama series loosely based on the life of Alicia Keys.
The network says the coming-of-age story will follow a girl from a biracial family like Keys.

UPN & Alicia Keys Strike a Deal
The singer, 24, was born to a white mother and a black father, who split up when she was two. Keys will serve as an executive producer of the project.
