In an industry where most artists can't keep it true to the game, don't seem to understand that there is more to the industry than just club music and shine, one such artist proves that there is more to the rhyme, bringing a new theory to the template of the streets. Murph is redefining the meaning to the underground rap scene; he's bringing a vibe that is definitely realer than most could even think of.

Upon the second interview with Murph, he was in the works of his second mixtape RTM Vol.1, a deeper silhouette into the vivid mind of Murph. He gave us an idea of what he was searching for and his plans of reaching that level. Crowning the streets before crowning the industry is the path that lies ahead.

24: So first off, how has everything been with you lately?

Murph: Well, basically, it's a progress and grind right now, I'm just out everywhere, every local event we got going on I'll be there.

24: Since this is the second time 24hourhiphop.com has had a chance to interview you one on one, what's new on the home front?

Murph: My buzz is getting a little bit more exploited to the public; they comprehend more or less what I'm trying to do out here. I ain't trying to spit all that rah, rah shit that you hear on the radio, so I'm getting embraced, you know it's picking up, trying to progress on what I'm doing right now, still grinding. I'm in that leg work.

24: So since then, has any labels been scouting you more recently?

Murph: Nah, I didn't get the attention to the majors yet, I'm still independent right now, but I ain't even looking for that. I'm just trying to get the streets, straight up.

24: So you're not really aiming for that high level, you're looking, just not grinding that contract yet?

Murph: Yeah, it's not on a high level, I mean that's not my main focus right now, as far as trying to get signed from these people. You already know, they get signed, a lot of people get placed on the back burner and shit like that, I ain't trying to look towards that, I'm trying to build myself up to the point where I get more leeway on what I'm trying to do.

24: Your resume is very extensive , who have you collaborated with recently that still has works to be released?

Murph: I got collaborations with my main nigga, Eddie Kane, Hall of Fame Entertainment. I also got Webbz, straight outta Miramar, FL. My local nigga Prime Legend, he hosting my mixtape and I'm in the process of collaborated with more people that majorly in the industry, can't really elaborate on who right now, don't wanna jinx myself, but shit poppin'.

24: Who are you planning to work with next in the local scene?

Murph: Just anybody that wanna spit, I'll do whatever man, anybody that wanna welcome me on the track. My nigga, Ramsey, I got Streets, just a couple of local cats just doing their thing, ain't nothing too major.

24: I had the opportunity to listen to several of your tracks and analyze your subject matter and flow, what would you say sets your style aside from anyone else that's in the game right now?

Murph: Ain't nobody talking about the shit I'm talking about, they trying to make pop music, club music they could dance to. That's good and shit, but we got real issues out here in the world that a lot of people ain't touching, a lot shit that I go through, that I see that ain't being bought out to the public, and that's what I'm trying to exploit.

24: Artists in the game say that the beat speaks to them, the beat tells them what to write, in your thoughts, what flows through your mind when you hear the beat, when your pen hits the paper?

Murph: Depending on the beat, if it's a jumpy beat I might write something for the clubs, if it's a soulful beat I might feel some pain, I might feel some shit I might want to express at the time. The beat does speak to me and I do speak back to it, that's what I do.

24: As a matter of fact, with that question in mind, I was vibing to one of your tracks, Realer than Most; can you describe the origin and theme of the song more in depth?

Murph: Shit, I'm realer than most. Basically, it's coming from nothing to something, that's what that song is embracing, from a hustler's standpoint. I know a lot of niggas in the game and did what they had to do, but didn't do it correctly, so I just exploited to the fact that I'm that nigga. I came from here and I'm still going to where I need to be and ain't nobody stopping me from where I need to be, so right now that's my campaign, Realer than Most, RTM Vol.1 coming soon, ya'll look for that in the street.

24: Besides your main producer, Alion, what other production teams have you worked with and plan to work with in the near future?

Murph: Right now, I got the Realer than Most track that was done by Final Cut Productions down with Slip N Slide. I'm also getting tracks from Midus, he produced a couple of tracks for Webbz'upcoming mixtape . But yeah, I'm just scouting new producers, ain't nobody really fucking with my main man Alion, so I just been sticking with home team, trying to get his music out there, a lot of beats that these people slept on when we submitted to these people. So I'm just making it do what it do, home team all day.

24: With the release of your mixtape In My Pocket, what other projects are in the works, as a matter fact when can the fans anticipate a debut album?

Murph: Shit, debut album, whenever they realize who I am out here, you feel me, whenever they understand this is not a game. I got tracks for days, for days, album material, mixtape material. I got material for the streets; I got material for the clubs. Just whatever ya'll niggas wanna hear, I got it.

24: So you wanna plug the mixtapes you got in the works?

Murph: In the works I got Realer than Most, In My Pocket is already out there. The RTM Vol. 1 hitting the streets real soon. Look out for my nigga Eddie Kane, he got Making the Way Vol.1. I also got my boys, Bottom Boyz out there. One time for the 305, we out here you know. Look out for everybody I fucks with, we all equal, we all home town, let's get this bread cause we out there to eat. "Fucks with me or get fucked over."
