24: I was at a Keyshia Cole concert the other day and during intermission her band was playing your vocals and performing the beat live to your song and the crowd was going crazy like you were about to come out, so did you think "Crank That Up" would be getting this type of response?
Soulja Boy: I already knew the song was going to blow up but not to the point where Beyonce, Chris Brown and Remy Ma is doing the dance at their shows.
24: How did you come up with this song did you want a song that people would chant and dance to at the same time?
Soulja Boy: Yeah, when I made the beat and I was coming up with the lyrics for it I was thinking to myself like this is going to be a dance song, this something I want the people to dance to and spread world wide.
24: Do you worry about the critics that may say your just here for now until the dance craze goes away?
Soulja Boy: I doubt that a 100% because my next record is going to be 10x better then my first and it’s not a dance record.
24: How did you get singed to Interscope Records?
Soulja Boy: My mentor Colipark has a label that goes through Interscope, so once I signed with him it was a wrap.
24: What’s your relationship with Bow Wow because I recently saw him at 106&Park and he said that you guys speak all the time?
Soulja Boy: Bow Wow that’s my dude. We're real cool and I chill at his crib and he chill at mine and right now were working on some music together because I am a producer as well as an artist.
24: Did you always want to become an artist?
Soulja Boy: Not at all. It's something that just grew on me because at first I was just going to school and ready to go to college after that. Then once I did my first real song, people took it serious and it blew and became an epidemic, so I got serious and saw I had something.
24: What's different about Soulja Boy compared to other up and coming artist?
Soulja Boy: I think I’m a whole new movement. I have a whole movement behind me. I have a artist that’s coming from my label Stacks On Deck Entertainment. So comparing me to another up and coming artist its not going to be the same because I produced my whole album, I put in my grind before my deal and at the internet behind me so when I finally do drop its going to be over!
24: What will the fans get when they buy your album?
Soulja Boy: When the fans buy my album their going to get everything from dance records to some R&B type records and witness my production skills through the album. From top to bottom there going to get the story of my life and how I got signed and the whole internet craze, everything!
24: Can the fans expect to see you on tour this summer?
Soulja Boy: The fans can see me on my promo tour right now because I will be on this promo tour for the whole summer until my album drop October.2
24: This question is for our female readers, are you in a relationship or are you looking?
Soulja Boy: Right now I’m single, just out grinding and staying focus.
24: Anything you want to say to the readers out there?
