24: Who make’s up CKP (Crown Kingz
Productions)?
H of CKP: Nico, Mike, and Myself
24: Who are some of the artist you have
worked with so far in you career?
H of CKP: PSC on their last album “25
TO Life”, T.I., Young Joc (produced “Do Ya Bad”), “Boyz
In The Hood (produced “Intro”), Purple Ribbon All Stars (produced
“Body Rock”) to name a couple.
24: How was it working with Young Joc?
H of CKP: It was cool because we actually got
to work with him and be apart of the whole process and have input it was a 50/50
effort on both sides that came out a great song.
24: Any artist in particular that you
would like to work with in the near future?
H of CKP: Jay-Z, Nas, 50 Cent, Akon, and were
trying to get together with Fabolous and basically all of the major players
in the game that’s selling records not to offend no one but it is what
it is.
24: I read you were a producer as fell
as an engineer for Sho’nuff Records how did that come about?
H of CKP: I was working a Patchwerk Studio
in Atlanta for about a year and a half and built a good relationship with Noon
(part owner of Sho’nuff Records) and at that time him and Jazze Pha was
just starting up Sho’nuff Records. They also new my prior work I had done
and were working on Ciara album and others new act’s so everything went
together perfectly.
24: Which of the two do you prefer?
H of CKP: Definitely producing because I get
to show my creative side more because as an engineer there only but so much
you can do you more so can give your suggestion on things, compared to producing
I can change this or change that its all me.
24: Name so of the artist you have worked
with as an engineer?
H of CKP: T.I., Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Young
Joc, Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, and every one at Sho’nuff Records.
24: Which producer inspired you to get
involved in production and what producer do you listen to know that makes you
say I have to set up my game?
H of CKP: I would say RZA and the whole Hitman
production Team that was apart of Bad Boy Records in the 90’s inspired
me to become a producer. As far as producers now that inspire me I would say
Just Blaze, Kanye West, Mannie Fresh, and Bink.
24: Describe your style of production?
H of CKP: That’s hard because I’m
heavily influenced by the east coast, west coast, and the south so I’m
a bit of all of that in one very versatile.
24: How does CKP differ from other production
teams?
H of CKP: With us I feel like because we also
engineer and make tracks you’re going to leave with a complete package,
where not just beat makers were producers.
24: What’s some of the new projects
you’re working on at the moment?
H of CKP: We’ll we have a artist by the
name of Remi that’s doing his thing on the local seen out here in Atlanta,
we also have tracks on Eightball & MJG new album as well as Fantasia.
24: How can some one get in contact with
you for some beats or some engineer work?
H of CKP: They can hit me up H@tmo.blackberry.net,
H.White@Shonuffrecords.com, WWW.MYSPACE.COM/CROWNKINGZPRODUCTIONS, or hit Mike
up at 1-678-410-5187.
