24: Introduce yourself to everyone and let them know where your repping?

JD Era: I'm JD Era aka The Prince Of The North. Representing Toronto or The Dot, or T-Dot, or Up Top, and all the other cool names people have come up with.

24: What do you feel your bringing to the music world?

JD Era: I feel, like every other new artist I'm bringing a breath of fresh air to the game. It's a little bit different coming from me, because I represent a voice in hip hop that hasn't really been heard yet. But I'm ready to show the world Toronto has world class talent.

24: Who are some of the people that influence you musically?

JD Era: In hip hop, obviously Jay-Z, Biggie, and Nas. But I grew up listening to a little of everything. I'm a big James Brown fan and Cee-Lo Green. He's cold blooded.

24: Tell about some the projects your currently working on right now I see you have your new mixtape "Coming To America"?

JD Era: I got the new album coming out for the new year. I've been putting a lot of work into that. Got a new single with Bobby Valentino called Covergirl on the way. And just getting my feature game on. Hit up my manager Major (theproduct@rogers.com) if you want me on a record. The 16's are getting mean nowadays!

24: Who are some of the producers you have been working with and who would you love to work with in the near future?

JD Era: I've been doing a lot of work with my in house producers, Spinz and Arion. Got some new stuff from Boi-1da who did a lot of work on Kardinal Offishall's album. Got some music from Saukrates and Beat Merchant. A couple heavyweights that you may not have heard of, but have heavy track records. I'd love to work with David Banner, Polow da don, or Swizz. I think a swizz record would be retarded.

24: Who are some others artist in Canada that you would say is Next In Line and making some noise besides yourself that the readers should look out for?

JD Era: Definitely my homey Jonny Roxx. Drake and Bishop Brigante are putting in heavy work right now. I got a kid named Arion that just turned 17 that's going to be a problem. There's a whole movement of us ready to smash the game.

24: What should the readers look out for from you in the near future?

JD Era: Like i said before, make sure you buy the single CoverGirl featuring Bobby Valentino from itunes and download the mixtape from my blog (www.jdera.blogspot.com). I make the mixtapes free so that people support when the time is right, and that time is coming.

24: How can someone find out more about to and check out your music?

JD Era: You can keep posted by checking out my blog (www.jdera.blogspot.com), add me on facebook (JD ERA), check out my myspace.com/jdera. I'm trying to be everywhere at the same time and if all of those fail, google me.

24: Is there anything you want to say to the readers?

JD Era: If you've been a fan of JD ERA's than I appreciate the support and love. If my name is new to you then take the time to listen to the mixtape and get familiar, cause I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon! Era out!
