With record sales at an all time low and digital sales, downloads and ringtones at an all time high, major labels and artist are getting more Internet oriented then ever. 50 Cent recently launched "This Is 50" where you can keep up with him by video day to day and download his latest mixtape "Body Snatchers." Kanye West & Prodigy both started Blogs of their own and P.Diddy did a live broadcasting for Sean John onto his Myspace page. I don't think that there's a major or up and coming artist that does not have a Myspace or Youtube page and other sites are following the same blueprint such as T.I.'s "Streetcred.com" and "Imeem.com." So for graphic designers, things couldn't be any better just ask up and coming designer Millz of Millz Designz…….

 

24: Introduce yourself to everyone and let them know what Millz Designz is about?

Millz: I'm currently in college working on getting my Bachelor's Degree in graphic design. Millz Designz is basically about bringing a vision you have of seeing anything from a flyer to a site become a reality. It's about combining creativity and skill to give you exactly what you're looking for as far as graphics is concerned.

24: How long have you been doing graphic designs?

Millz: I've actually been doing graphics for a while now (lol). I believe its been about 6 years and I never really took it very serious, because I didn't think I was going to end up pursuing it as a career since I had other plans as far as what exactly I wanted to study. 

24: Currently I see you have been doing a lot of projects with up and coming artist Webbz, tell me about some other projects your working on?

Millz: Yes, I've been doing quite a few things for Webbz. Just trying to get him out there as much as possible by designing mostly everything you've seen him put out from his street album cover "The Underdog" to the Flo Rida "Helluva Day" flyer…It's just been crazy but other than that I've also done stuff for people involved with G-Unit South like DJ Don Juan also known as Young Bucks DJ.  I create basically the majority of the covers he wants to put out for his mixtapes. Also working on doing some stuff for some rappers on the West Coast right now. It's just so many different things going on at the moment, and every day that goes by it just keeps looking better and better for me as far as my future's concerned.

24: If someone wanted to upgrade their Myspace page, what's your rate and how long does the whole process take, etc?

Millz: Well, the complexity of the page definitely affects the price and the time it will take for me to complete it. It depends what exactly that person wants that will determine how much it will cost and how long it will take.  The reason I ask people to message me for prices is because of this exactly. Everyone is always going to want something different, and of course if you want more stuff it's going to be a little more expensive compared to someone who doesn't want as much. But it usually doesn't take me very long. Once I start on a page I try to complete it all in 2 days in order to have it finished.

24: Also I think they are some Models who would like their photos and interview, magazines print on their page how can you help them and come up with a good concept for their website or Myspace page?

Millz: To come up with a concept I basically try to capture the personality if I know the model personally or look at there style based on their photos and incorporate it into there page.  I think that way people get a better understanding of who that person really is when they take a look at there photos and page at the same time.

24: Do you get a lot of guys that contact you about a project and then they end up asking you on a date?

Millz: Lol, Yes! I definitely got to be honest here. That's happened to me numerous times, where I hear they want to do business and in the end its like "So how about I get to know you a little better" (lol) it's pretty funny let me tell you.

24: What's next in line for Millz Designz in 2008?

Millz: Let's just say a whole lot of success! [lol] I'm getting a lot of exposure now and it's thanks to everyone who has help spread the word about my art. Just working on getting better and getting my name out there as much as possible to continue doing the same I've been doing so far and that's turning your ideas into a real image.  A whole lot is going to happen, this year is going to be crazy.

24: Anything you want to promote?

Also been doing some stuff with something called HP DIVAZ…if there are any ladies out there that would be interested in becoming a model and I mean any ladies…it doesn't matter how skinny or fat you think you are this is for everyone! A model is someone who people should be able to relate to so don't be intimidated, by girls who you see on T.V that seem to be perfect in every shape, way and form!
