24: Introduce yourself to everyone?

Trel Mack: Yeah, what's the deal this your boy Trel Mack the next up and coming artist representing Philadelphia, Pa and you know the kid makes the music for the fly honeys in the world. I'm just that hot hip hop artist about to bring Philly back.

24: What are some of the projects you have been working on lately?

Trel Mack: Right now there are a few things I'm working on this year to grab the people's attention. As of right now I am working on my new promotional album called "Mack Of The Year" which will have about 10-12 songs featuring a few artist from Philly, Shawn Archer, Ricardo Bailey who is on my hit single "Be Ya Man" for the beautiful ladies out there, Crystyle from London who did her thing with me on the "Autograph" track and big shout out to her for reaching out to me all the way from London to be part of what I have to offer to the world. Basically the promotional album "Mack of the Year" is to show people what I have to offer as an artist. I'm not the hardcore type of rapper that the streets look for; I'm more of a mainstream individual when it comes to my music. I want a variety of people to be able to listen to my music and say, "He's hot, and I love his swagger and his approach to the music industry". I think the "Mack of The Year" will show my personality and I know the people are going to feel it and not only that it's free. Everyone will  gets a free copy of "Mack of the Year" and also I'm working on this mixtape with Quinton Hatfield AKA "Q the Question" titled "So What's the Answer" which is going to have a few of my latest songs and also some nice music from your favorite artist in the game. That will be something the world should want to look in to and it's coming soon. I also was featured on two mixtapes overseas in which one of them got over 15,000 downloads online, so as you can see I've been moving just trying to be apart of as much things as possible and trust me it's a lot more to come.

24: What makes Trel Mack different from any other new artist trying to get into the game?

Trel Mack: I just do me and talk about what I know and present Trel Mack to the music world. I just try my best to set myself aside from everyone else by doing different things that the average artist wouldn't think of so I'm always thinking. I'm thinking of ways to be different not only in my music, but on how the way I do things, the way I treat people, how I handle my business and how I reach a goal without taking unnecessary paths. I'm going to change the game and make people notice it so I'm molding myself to be different in all ways possible and not only the music side of things. That's what a lot of artist need to do, they need to check themselves and really dig deep within their hearts to bring what they have that no one else had and for a lot of underground artist trying to come up I've been able set myself aside them as far as being different. I'm talking to all of them that are not handling their business and I'm just focused.

24: Tell me which artist inspires you?

Trel Mack: Music as a whole inspires me, everybody who is doing their thing and doing it right inspires me. Other artist mistakes and accomplishments inspire me and that's for everybody, but I have plenty of people I look up to. I like Jay-Z's success he is my role model, everything that he does within his music and his business is amazing. I think every Black man should respect him for what he was and what he had become. Hip-hop legends like LL Cool J, 2pac, Biggie, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, and EPMD also inspires me. There are a lot more and it's so many to name, but if your hot you know who you are.

24: If you had to choose one song to represent which would it be and why?

Trel Mack: If I had to choose one song to represent I would pick "Be Ya Man". I chose that song because its for the ladies and all the ladies love that song, I've been getting great responses from that song and I think the world will love it. Most of these dudes have girlfriends and their girlfriends are going to want to listen to it and their going to get mad [laughs] so either way there going to hear me. I love making music for the ladies and I think it's only right for me to choose that style. Every girl will think I'm talking bout them and that's what makes "Be Ya Man" so special.

24: If you could choose any major label to be on, which label would you choose and why?

Trel Mack: STREET KNOWLEDGE ENTERTAINMENT, which I'm already on. Not only that, I'm co-owner of the label. Right now I'm not really chasing any major deal, because I know the pros and cons of being with a major label. It doesn't look to appealing to me right now so I'm just doing the independent thing with my homey Quinton Hatfield who is also co-owner of the label. Big shout out to him for holding it down for SKE. I just feel you need a strategy for this music industry, like my partner Q he is the publicist, a true net worker for the label, not only that a journalist and a manager. Me I'm the hot artist and also the net worker for label, we can do half of these things a major label can do without money. It's all about your communication and observing skills, you got to see what's moving and how it's moving in this industry.  If ya'll labels not trying to give us a deal on our terms we don't need it, nobody else count but SKE.

24: How can someone get in contact with you?

Trel Mack: Well you can get in contact with me through myspace WWW.MYSPACE.COM/TRELMACKMUSIC or you can get in contact with me through Q at WWW.MYSPACE.COM/QHATFIELD, for any inquiries about me email Q at quintonhatfield@yahoo.com, if your familiar with facebook.com contact me there too Trel Mack

24: Anything you want to say to the viewers reading this interview?

Trel Mack: Yeah appreciate 24hourhiphop.com for showing me love. Look for that new promo album "Mack of the Year" coming soon. It's hot and it's free so you might want to get that. If you got love for me I got love for ya'll. Shout out to everyone who supported me along the way. Show love to 24hourhiphop.com, because this wouldn't be possible with them.
