Label: LaFalce/ Zomba

Review by: Jay Carter

Some things just seem to get better with time and one of those things is Ciara’s music career. On her second album, Ciara shows growth and has become more versatile best shown on songs such as “Get Up” featuring Chamillionaire (produced by Jazze Pha) a more up tempo track to the albums second single “Promise” (produced by Pollow Da Don) where she slows things down and keeps every man with a heart beats eyes glued to the screen when the video is on. The Evolution also gives a more behind the music look at her life. Especially on “I’m Just Me'''' and “My Love” where it sounds like she is talking about someone familiar. Some other honorable mentioned songs are “C.R.U.S.H” and “Like A Boy”. Ciara made a bold move especially at a time in music when it seems as though everyone has been going to the left, she went right and went right as shown in the albums sales and quality.
