Artist: Mims
Album: Music Is My Savior
Label: American King Music/ Capitol Records

After making his presence felt with the single “This Is Why I’m Hot” and the remix featuring Junior Reid & Cham buzzing from state to state, the album is here and Mims explains why music was his savior. With no major label backing until recently (Capitol Records), Mims’ hard work has paid off best heard on “Where I Belong.” Mims shows various sides of himself and paints vivid pictures that even a blind man can see on my personal favorite “Don’t Cry”(Outro) featuring Purple Popcorn. Some other highlights on the album are “Doctor,Doctor,”“It’s Alright,” and “Big Black Train.”
