Hopefully this won’t be just a
rumor for too long but there are new reports coming from The Daily News
saying that what every hip hop fan has been hoping for may be happening
early next year. Yes I am speaking of an album by the two greats, Jay-Z
and Nas. Although they were once involved in one of the biggest battles
in hip hop history, the two have since collaborated on both of their
last albums with great results. Reports are saying the album would be
called The Kings of Hip Hop, although to me that sounds a little
generic and probably wouldn’t be the working album title.
The next
detail leaves me a little doubtful as it is whispered that the album
would be released on Jay-Z’s Carter Music Group. Why does this leave me
skeptical? Because this label doesn’t even exist yet. Either way though
I am leaving my fingers, toes, ears and whatever else possible crossed
on this one. Hip Hop needs it!
