The legendary summer jam concert went on this past weekend in New Jersey and had its normal run of top profile hip hop mega stars rocking the stage. People are saying though that a few grumblings are coming from one of the performers who is known to have an opinion or two on things.
Kanye West, who was one of the acts on the summer jam bill, apparently was upset at the way the show was lined up. Kanye of course felt he was the biggest star of the night and therefore deserved to be the closing act of the show. The organizers however had scheduled legendary group Public Enemy to close the show despite Kanye’s wishes. Several concert goers are saying all during his set Kanye kept referring to himself as the “last act” and the “closer”, despite him being around the third act to go up.
The twist in the story comes in when summer jam’s organizers decide to surprise everyone and bring out Dipset after Public Enemy as a special encore performance. Word is Kanyeezy is not very pleased at this and took it as disrespect both from Dipset and summer jam. This just happened last night so no diss records have come forth yet and maybe none will who knows. I don’t know on this one as Kanye is pretty beef free in the game and this seems like no fault of Jones and company right? If anything blame the summer jam people. Who do you think would win in a Kanye vs. Jones beef?
