After months of speculation it has finally been revealed who Drake will sign with. Turns out it’s who he has been with all along, Lil Wayne’s Young Money. Drake was fielding several offers from pretty much every major label in the world but despite reports of rumored deals with Interscope and Universal directly Drake has opted to stay with the home team. And I am hearing that Wayne had to ante up some grown money to keep Drake close by him.

It was widely reported that Drake was offered 2 million from Atlantic Records but turned that down to figure out his options a little bit more. It was also rumored that there was tension between Wayne and Drake due to the fact that Drake would not sign with him. Well I am hearing that Drizzy wanted to sign with Wayne all along but was concerned due to the fact that Young Money is an offshoot of Cash Money and Cash Money has the worst reputation in the business for fucking artists out of their money and overall career. However my intel into this situation told me that Drake has certain guarantees such as album release dates in his contract and also the fact that Weezy doubled the amount he was being offered and gave Drake 4 million just to sign! This is what ultimately led Drake to stick with the Martian.

Either way I’m just glad this part is done with so now we can get the album. I still don’t know though about dealing with Cash Money…We’ll have to wait and see how this one plays out…

Mariah Cross Dresses?

Some people just don’t know when to quit. It would seem that is the case now with Mariah Carey and this supposed “beef” with Eminem. The two have been going back and forth for years now arguing over that fact of if its true or not that she let Em beat like 5 years ago or something. It seems to be two people who have a lot to do acting like they have nothing else better to do but hey, whatever makes them happy right?

Well Mariah is now shooting a video for her diss track to Eminem called “Obsessed” and in the video Mariah is going into full cross dresser mode and is dressing like Eminem! She is rocking a goatee and Em’s trademark sweatpants and all. Peep the pics  from the set.

Wow. Mariah, really is this what it’s come to? I think just the fact that he has driven one of the world’s most beautiful and recognized pop stars to dress like a male college student is enough for him to declare victory how bout you?

DJ UNK Gets Robbed!

Rappers beware! I knew it had been too long since a rapper got they shit snatched and just in time to save the day is ATL dance rapper DJ Unk. Unk reported live from his Twitter that he just got relieved of $80,000 worth of shiny shit yesterday and is looking for the culprits. What makes this one a little different though is that UNk didn’t actually get his chain snatched as someone just broke into his car and made off with the jewels. Peep his Twitter rants below:
