Remy Ma May Have Not Shot Friend
Read 2803 Times Since Posted on 2007-07-19 New evidence exists that suggests that Remy Ma may not have been the
one who shot Makeda Barnes-Joseph. A person claiming to have witnessed
the actual shooting reached out to us and claimed that it was impossible for Remy to have shot Makeda. Makeda got out of her car and [she and Remy Ma started] arguing in the street. Makeda threatened Remy in front of everyone and demanded that she didn't take her money. She also threw her purse at Remy [asking her] to check it - and that's why Remy had her purse and emptied the contents. Makeda has had a history of stealing before, so that's why Remy came to her first. And the witness suggested that a number of other people could have shot Makeda. The witness explained, "Mad people started walking up to them when they were arguing, including myself. All I know is .... as soon as I turned, Makeda was on the ground saying she got shot. But [I know that] Remy never had a pistol in her hand." But that's not all. The close friend claims that Makeda's not completely innocent in the whole matter. Remy's pal explains, "Makeda is not as sweet as everyone is making her out to be. [She's] hungry and broke ...Remy even paid Makeda's rent before when she spent her money on shopping and her sorry [EXPLETIVE] boyfriend couldn't help out." The pal added, "And [Makeda] has stolen from Remy before and Remy forgave her the first time." It's not clear how this new witness will impact the charges against Remy Ma. Currently Remy is charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons possession. If convicted on all charges, Remy faces more than 25 years in prison.
