Judge Barbara Leak, who had granted DMX two postponements, issued a warrant for the rapper’s arrest, after he failed to appear in court on Wednesday (June 26) to face numerous driving charges from an arrest in White Plains, NY, last month.

X(Born Earl Simmons) was stopped in downtown White Plains, NY on June 2nd for driving his 2001 Chevy Suburban at unreasonable speeds and making unsafe lane changes. Police said they found the rapper not wearing a seat belt and without a driver’s license.

He was then ticketed and told to appear in court on June 16, which he missed due to a ‘prior engagement’. After that, the Yonkers bred rapper was ordered to appear in court on June 21, but also missed that commitment.

His absence at a scheduled hearing was the last straw for Judge Leak. "We have granted him a number of courtesies. It ends now," she said. At Thursday’s hearing, Leak ordered DMX to be held on $25,000 bail.
