Flo Rida Discusses New Album R.O.O.T.S.

New York, NY – With R.O.O.T.S. now released to a world of anticipated fans, Flo Rida can expect great things to happen over the course of the upcoming months. The renowned international superstar has his sights looking straight over the horizon as fans raced to their nearest Best Buy and FYE to purchase his sophomore album. That album has spawned over three singles even before it received an official release date by Atlantic. His first single ‘Right Round’ shattered all digital sales record by selling over 600,000 downloads in just one week. For over 12 weeks, his single managed to maintain its number one spot on the charts and has now literally sold over 2 million downloads. That one single alone has broken records made by his predecessors Eminem, 50 Cent, and Soulja Boy, including his own that he initially made with ‘Low,’ his debut single.

In a recent interview with MTV News concerning the release of his most recent album, Flo Rida expressed his thoughts and kept his comments humble and enthusiastic:

“You feel like you’re lucky the first time you do something like that, but a second time makes you feel like you’re blessed. I am humbled by those guys. I’m fans of those guys. I’m inspired by those guys.”

He continues to explain the messages that he has included in his album he personally entitled ‘R.O.O.T.S.,’ an acronym that stands for ‘Route of Overcoming the Struggle.’ In essence, it followed the same criteria that fellow Miami artist Pitbull once conquered when he released his debut ‘M.I.A.M.I.,’ which was his acronym for ‘Money is a Major Issue.’

“I’m definitely letting the people know I haven’t forgotten where I’ve come from. On this album, I wanted to put out a message about how I’ve made it to where I am now — the trials and tribulations I’ve been through — as well as the party joints. It’s going to be a gumbo of Flo Rida.”

Flo Rida’s new album ‘R.O.O.T.S.’ is in stores now, make sure you go out and cop that album, you won’t regret it.

T.I. Weighs In on his Road to Redemption

Atlanta, GA – With everything that has been going on around him and the goals that he has completed prior to turning himself in, it is certain that day of reckoning is just around the corner for T.I. and he is aware that he will have to face reality soon. That one year and a day term has been etched across his mind and apparently he is mentally prepared to serve that time. Over the course of the passing months, we have slowly seen a transition in T.I. through his show with MTV and his press conferences, it seems as though he has finally left that life that he grew up around before the music came into play, he recently stated that he has closed that chapter in his life.

Now before he is to turn himself in, he recently spoke to MTV News about the last remaining days he has left as they continue to countdown. With all the work put aside and his music complete for the time being, he plans to spend his final free days with his family:

I’d like to spend time with my family. I work so much, so I’d just like the time to kick it with them, the kids, the old lady, my cousins, my brother, just with my family. Maybe take a vacation, maybe something for Mother’s Day. I don’t know, man. I might be able to make one more birthday party.”

During his incarceration, he once stated that he didn’t want his family, his friends, or his artists to visit him as he wants to quietly plan his return to his life and the music world. He continues to state that he will be writing new songs for his upcoming album that he plans to complete as soon as he is released. The only thing that worries him is how his family will cope while he is incarcerated being that he is the sole provider. Either way, he is still blessed with the way the whole situation panned out:

“Well, you know we still got more work to do, at the end of the day I’m not going to be gone long enough to have any long-lasting effects. Of course, the initial emotion will be one of somber grief. But by the time they get over it, I’ll be getting home. Compared to how bad it could have been, I think I made out all right.”

At press time, the court has allowed T.I. additional time to spend with his family and complete business ventures before he will finally turn himself in. He has asked the court if he could possibly be placed in Atlanta closer to his home; however that has yet to be confirmed.

Soulja Boy Gives Advice to Chris Brown and Rihanna

Los Angeles, CA – It has gotten to the point where almost every artist in the industry has commented on the incident that occurred with Chris Brown and Rihanna back in February. The media has since made a field day of the whole situation further than the alleged altercation. Either way, artists and friends have offered their advice to the both them and even added their two cents on how they felt about the incident as it panned out. As a matter of fact, former tour-mate, Soulja Boy, has added his own thought and even offered advice to Chris Brown on how to handle the situation and focus back on his declining career.

After the recent Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards that Soulja Boy attended in Los Angeles, he recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Chris Brown and Rihanna adding that he was shocked by the altercation. These were his comment to the celebrated magazine:

“[Chris] needs to be focused on fixing himself right now and fixing the relationship. I don’t know what went wrong or what happened exactly, but I couldn’t be more shocked. Both of them are my friends, and I wish both of them the best of luck. They were really good together, and it is sad that it happened. It came out of nowhere. I would have never seen that coming. It is not like him at all. Not his nature.”

Throughout the interview he kept a calm and humble impression, keeping any judgment about Brown to himself continuing in a positive note. He adds that somewhere down the line the relationship would have to mended, stating that they were good for each other.

“Remember that only God can judge, though. None of us know exactly what went down that weekend. Only they know the whole truth, and it will be up to them to decide if they can get straight with it and whether they will want to continue as a couple. I can just be there if either of them need me.”

At press time, Chris Brown is set to appear in court for his arraignment on April 6. If the case does make its way to trial, Rihanna would eventually have to take the stand. Her attorney stated that Rihanna will fully cooperate with everything the law requests from her.
