I guess that after getting a taste of that Maybach Music joint, Ja Rule has gotten a sudden boost of confidence. Former Murder Inc. frontman has recently issued a warning to enemies and/or rappers with the announcement of his upcoming return to rap. According to the Forbez DVD he had this to say:

“Word to God, Rule York in the building,” he said in a video. “That’s the motherf*cking first blog on Rule York TV on the iPhizzle cam n*gga. I’m getting a lot of hardcore footage. All you b*tch a** n*ggas out there, I’m letting y’all know I’m coming and I’m f*cking, oh, I got a chip on my shoulders this year b*tch. I’ma let you know something for real for real, brand new n*gga. Nothing f*cking stale, faded, brand new n*gga. Get ready. I’m lettin’ y’all n*ggas know man, you got about 60 to 90 days then I’ma put my d*ck in your mouth man. Watch yourselves homies, telling you.”

Pretty bold words for Ja to be spitting so early. That statement is sort of contradictory because earlier this year he spoke on the state of both Hip-Hop and New York. According to 57th Ave Ja stated:

“We fighting against other genres,” Rule declared in an interview. “We fightin’ against motherf*ckin’ rock. We fightin’ against pop. We fightin’ against these other genres of music. We need to be together as a whole and not separating ourselves between West and East and South. I think New York is making a strong comeback right now. I think we doin’ our thing, we got Maino, we got Red Cafe. I think New York is making a surgence. I got my acts outta New York, I’m coming with a crazy album right now. But you know as a whole, it’s not about New York…it’s about hip-hop. We all in this together. So when I think about it, that’s really my feelings on the situation.”

So which is it Ja? Are you joining forces with other rappers to save Hip-Hop or are you warning them to watch out because you coming back to the game with some heat? Which ever it is, Ja is not revealing any official comeback dates. On a Sub Zero DVD Ja spoke on his return as well as a new jewelry line venture:

“New album coming real soon, I ain’t gonna give nobody no dates,” Ja said in an interview. “None of that ‘We pushin’ it back, we pushin’ it back’ so I ain’t giving y’all no motherf*cking date. It’s coming real soon. We finishing it up. It’s f*cking crazy. Y’all n*ggas get ready. We gonna have a good time this year…[I got a] new jewelry line coming real soon. Y’all can go to Itshot.com to check out all the new pieces from the Rule.”

Well we will see what happens. I guess 09’ is the year of the comeback kid. First Mase now Ja? What has Hip-Hop done to deserve this??!! Good luck Ja.

Alfamega Finally Breaks His Silence

Finally, former rapper of Grand Hustle Records and proclaimed snitch, Alfamega has spoken out about the recent allegations that he was a government informant. The rapper recently spoke to AllHipHop.com about the situation and him being released from T.I.’s label.

“I caught a case, pleaded guilty,” Alfa said about his 1990’s arrest. “Received my time. I was doing my time. All the extra stuff dudes’ talking about…Anybody that know me, if I had did something on somebody in this city, and people knew that I was accused of doing what they accusing me of right now? Somebody woulda been stepped to me about that. Like I said, Alfamega ain’t never snitched on nobody. He done lied on somebody, but he ain’t never snitched. And we ain’t even gotta say Alfamega, ’cause y’all got my name out there now: Cedric Zellers…You do 85 percent of your time in the Feds. I really wasn’t supposed to do the whole sentence, but I got into an altercation in the last prison I was in. So they took some good time away. They gave me 60 extra days…I’m older than Tip. I’m from the Westside, he from the Westside. Where I come from, if you have a label of being a snitch, you gon’ get dealt with. So how am I able to still walk around the city by myself? So, it is what it is, you know. I’m gonna make a statement too: I don’t hate Tip. I’m disappointed, ’cause that’s supposed to be my partner. And I ain’t talking about on no business tip. That’s my partner. I rode for dude, like 24/7. I put my family to the side sometimes to ride for dude.”

I can see where Alfamega is coming from. He definitely does have a valid point however, how can he explain the signed documents with his name on it? He never addressed that part. Maybe T.I. releasing him so soon was on bad judgment but how do you deal with someone who has been labeled a snitch and could easily be the eyes and ears of the government? Someone who could easily without a second thought, turn on you too. Would you take the chances? I doubt it. Besides, he’s already been labeled a snitch so whether he is or not, I’m not sure his career can bounce back from that. Snitching is like the Black Plague of Hip-Hop; once you get it, there’s no getting rid of it!
