After 3 years under the E1 (formerly Koch) record label, Joell Ortiz is finally free.
In March, the Brooklyn MC expressed his frustration, saying E1 was preventing him from signing other deals as part of the Slaughterhouse group:

“little known fact-E1 also jamming me up from doing a major, major deal as part of Slaughterhouse. so they aint getting FREEAGENT. E1 is f*cking c*ckblocking us from doing something monumental for our fans and our careers. I dont give a f*ck who gets mad. “

Let’s see what kind of deal Joell signs next, hopefully something with Shady Records.
According to E1 Records, his album, Free Agent is still planned for a Nov. 30 release.
In the meantime, Joell Ortiz will be performing Nov. 9 at SOBs in NYC. (Via HHG)
