Rapper Kanye West’s music has been officially banned from the Internet in China, according to the country’s Ministry of Culture department. “E.T.,” West’s hit single with Katy Perry, has even been barred from personal websites, along with 100 other tracks deemed to be a threat to Chinese culture.

Lady Gaga, The Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry, Beyoncé Knowles, Britney Spears and others were among those banned.

“Certain websites have been allowing users to play, listen to and download the listed songs,” the ministry said in a statement. “Such actions have disturbed the online music market order and endangered national cultural safety.”

Music regulating online began in China two years ago and this is the third time they’ve banned what the Ministry of Culture deems “tasteless and vulgar.”
