Former New York City nightclub employee, Syed Rahman,
has just been sentenced to 20 years to life for the murder of Ingrid
Rivera
during female rapper Lil Kim’s 2008
birthday celebration at Spotlight Live in Times Square. Rahman
was convicted of killing Rivera on the rooftop of the
venue after she rejected his advances. The sentencing took place in a
Manhattan court room on April 6, with a room filed with over 30 friends
and family who came to witness.

During the hearing, the victim’s
cousin, Andrea Rodriguez, had this to say: “My kids are
in therapy now, in counseling, because they can’t cope with her loss.”

Last February, Rahman pleaded guilty to the murder
charges and even expressed his sorrow to Rivera’s
family. No other information has been provided regarding this case.

that her ex-husband Lil Wayne is keeping busy while
incarcerated. Toya explained to Us Weekly that Weezy’s
job is to be on suicide watch for his fellow inmates, and
according to Toya, he is enjoying this prison duty.

 “Wayne
has a job — they got him on suicide watch for other prisoners,”

Nothing more fulfilling than prison duties eh?

Coolio’s Bench Warrant Dismissed

A $10,000 bench warrant for rapper Coolio’s arrest was
issued for his failure to appear in a Los Angeles court on Monday. Now
it looks like the rapper may have gotten himself off the hook after he

adhered to the terms of his probation, the warrant was dismissed and he
will escape jail time. Coolio is due back in court on
January 18, 2011 for his next progress report. No other details have

8Ball & MJG Reveal Why They Left Bad Boy

Last year, former Bad Boy artists 8Ball & MJG
revealed that their professional relationship with Bad Boy had “run its
course.” During a recent interview with XXL Magazine, the two artists
explained why they separated from Diddy’s label and
discussed the mutual decision to leave.

“Long story short it was the
best thing for both parties at the time,”
8Ball explained
in an interview. “We never had super crazy stuff happening but just
people in general and fans when they heard we went with Bad Boy they
were happy. Some of our core fans didn’t feel like it was a fit and a
lot of them voiced that…We felt like our relationship ran its course and
we did what was necessary to end the relationship.”

MJG
also chimed in, explaining why it was time for them to move on.

“We
really just moved on because it was time to do something different,”
MJG
added. “It was never really a long-term thing. It was a mutual
agreement to move on and we went on to the next business venture.”

Did they make the right decision to leave Diddy’s Bad Boy or should they have held on a little bit longer?
