Young Money’s Nicki Minaj seems to be fed up with
the negativity.  She recently spoke on how Hip-Hop is too serious and
needs to be more entertaining. Apparently Minaj wasn’t
finished getting everything off of her chest because via a UStream
video broadcast, Minaj explained why she refuses to
respond to disses from other female emcees. According to Minaj,
she’s too busy counting money to worry about the critics and haters. “I
don’t respond to stupidity because I don’t have to,” Minaj said
in a video.

“I don’t need it for publicity and people that do that,
they need it. You guys don’t have to tell me about somebody saying some
stupid negative sh*t because all these b*tches are my sons. So, I showed
them how to do this. I show y’all how to do this. That’s why y’all yap
yap yappity yap. I hear y’all talking. That’s why I occupy my time
getting a green  piece of paper…So pretty much, I spend so much time
counting that green paper that for me to take my time out for stupid,
foolish, strawberry shortcake bum b*tches that live on planet bum would
almost make me as low on the totem pole as they are. You’ll never hear
me say your names. You’ll just keep barking up that tree, and I’ll keep
doing what I do. In other news, I want to say though, that, you guys
make hip-hop into some real clown sh*t when you feed into that.”

Are
people really hating on Nicki or are just tired of the “garbage barbie?”

T-Pain Turns off Auto-Tune and Turns to God

Florida rapper T-Pain has recently announced that he
will release a gospel/Christian album this fall. The album entitled
Even Heaven Got A VIP
will include T-Pain without
the use of auto-tune. Via Myspace, T-Pain
discussed his spirituality and revealed his more sensitive side.

“A lot
of people don’t know this about me,” he said, “but I am a deeply
spiritual person. Dude, I go to church just as much as I go to the strip
club. That’s saying something…Once that guy from ‘Saturday Night Live’
started using it [Auto-Tune],” T-Pain said, referring to his viral hit
“I’m On A Boat” with Andy Samberg, “I called on God. I
was like, ‘Lord, you have to help me, who is this dude!?’” The album,
which is tentatively titled Even Heaven Got A VIP, is due out September
9th on Jive/Nappy Boy. “I know this album might surprise people,” T-Pain
said, “but I am a sensitive guy. I don’t sit just around and
watch Scarface and drink Henny all day. In fact, I just
got through watching The Notebook. You ever seen that movie? That sh*t
is beautiful.”

Heaven with a VIP? I know a lot of people are anxiously awaiting this project. Wonder if R.Kelly and Diddy will jump on the bandwagon for a gospel collaboration?
