Trouble after the Ozone Awards: DJ Vlad files Lawsuit against the Boss

New York, NY – I’m quite sure you’re all already aware of all the minor scuffles that occurred at the 3rd annual Ozone Awards this year. Interestingly enough, one involved a Houston brawl with Trae and Mike Jones, practically leaving Jones with a broken bloody nose, while the other involved Rick Ross and a one DJ Vlad. This man is claiming that Ross and his entourage allegedly roughed him up at the show; Vlad is using the blatant and outlandish term, ‘brutal attack’ as his way of describing the incident. Because of what apparently occurred, he is filing a $4 million lawsuit against Ross in a New York Federal court this past Friday (Aug. 15).

Vlad’s attorney,
Brian Caplan, is claiming that his client was attacked by Ross’ goons at a meeting at the Hilton Hotel in Houston. His attorney continues to claim that this was in retaliation to certain comments that were made by Vlad on his VladTV video blog about Ross and his past, hosted by youtube.com. The video in question has since been removed. Caplan is stating that Vlad received a cut below his eye that required seven stitches, a corneal abrasion, and some facial fractures.

At press time, the lawsuit is seeking $2 million in compensatory damages and $2 million in punitive damages. Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for more updated news on this situation as it develops.

This is ridiculous; this man is claiming funds for an ass whooping he probably deserved and provoked his damn self. This is all just a waste of time, it is quite obvious he just trying to make a quick come up from Ross, using this incident as a gateway. I’m waiting for the judge to laugh at Vlad and throw the case out.

Game Takes Shots at Jesse Jackson and G-Unit on LAX

Los Angeles, CA – The Game has always been known for his vivid lyrics and he has never failed to let his tongue loose when it came to verbally destroying someone. On the norm, his regular target has been G-Unit, which he disparages in public anyway, apparently this time he’s taking shots at his recent victim, Rev. Jesse Jackson.

His most recent studio album is practically on the verge of release as the end of the month draws close. The LP is entitled ‘L.A.X.,’ which is his acronym for Life and Times. With his versatile lyrics, Game deliberately takes shots at Jesse Jackson and it’s apparent that he wasn’t trying to hold back a single thread of how he felt about the Reverend.

These are just some of his lyrics he mentions so forth:

On the track with Lil Wayne entitled ‘My Life’

“And I ain’t no preacher, but here’s my Erick Sermon. So eat this black music, and tell me how it tastes now. And fuck Jesse Jackson ’cause it ain’t about race now.”

On yet another track entitled ‘Letter to the King,’ he incorporates the lyrical styles of Nas and pays tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King. Interestingly, you would think that Game would have some type of remorse to hold back a couple of shots towards Jackson because of the fact that he was present in 1968 with Dr. Martin Luther King during his death, Game continues to disparage the Reverend.

These were the lyrics that he omitted on the track:

“If Dr. King marched today, would Bill Gates march? I know Obama would, but would Hillary take part? Great minds think great thoughts, the pictures I paint make the Mona Lisa look like fake art. I feel the pain of Nelson Mandela, ’cause when it rains it pours, I need Rihanna’s umbrella, for Coretta Scott [King’s] teardrops, when she got the phone call that the future just took a fucking headshot…I wonder why Jesse Jackson ain’t catch him before his body dropped, would he give me the answer? Probably not.”

At press time, the album is set to be released August 26. The track ‘Letter to the King’ leaked the net sometime last week.

Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for the review of ‘LAX’ in the next upcoming week.

Game has always come with them lyrics, every album he’s dropped regardless of studio or street he literally merked. The man is a monster when he’s when the studio. There are even rumors circulating that he wants to lyrical battle Jay-Z. He claims that he hasn’t lost a beef yet. That would definitely be something I would want to see.

Jay-Z Takes Shots at Lead Singer of Rock Band Oasis

New York, NY – As long as we’ve been listening to Jay-Z, practically following Jigga in his life and exploits, this is the first you’d hear that he’s taking shots at a Rock singer. In the years that have followed, there have been a couple of occasions where Hip-Hop has collided with Rock through history, just none as lyrical as this one.

The lead singer that Jay is taking shots at is Noel Gallagher, the lead singer of the rock band Oasis. Apparently the situation began when Jay-Z was invited to perform at the Glastonbury Festival in London, England. Gallagher had made a blatant comment to media and to several people that the festival had a guitar history and that Hip-Hop had no place in that festival. Well, as we all know, Jay-Z has always displayed his actions publicly; he countered Gallagher’s statement by playing and singing Oasis’ own track ‘Wonderwall.’ It was initially performed by Jay as a smack in the face to his musical opponent.

Even in his new single, ‘Jockin’ Jay-Z,’ he continues to disparage Gallagher through lyrics just to add fuel to the fire. Now we are all aware of the signature lyrical style that Hov does when it comes down to dissing someone in his tracks, we were all exposed to ‘The Blueprint 2’ when he mentioned certain lyrics about Nas and his QB crew sometime in the past. Well, apparently, Jay continues to do it all over again, this sometime to a different opponent.

These were the exact lyrics he mentioned in his new single:

“That bloke from Oasis said I couldn’t play guitar, somebody shoulda told him I’m a fucken rock star. ‘Today is gonna be the day that I’m gonna throw it back to you.'”

The last line in the verse is his own mockery of Oasis’ track ‘Wonderwall.’ Sources are saying that Jay is waiting for a response from Gallagher or Oasis whether musically or through the media.

Jay-Z is the original lyrical monster and the fact that he is releasing The Blueprint 3 is amazing. Any new material from him is worth the wait. This whole charade is hilarious. The fact that an old school band member is trying to go to war with Jigga is quite interesting. It just goes to show that Hov doesn’t back down for anyone, even in their own backyard he’s taking shots at them and practically proving them wrong by playing the guitar on stage just to shut him up. Did that man forget, Jay did several songs with Linkin Park. Mike Shinoda taught him a thing or two about guitars. It goes to show, people need to do their research before they begin to start yapping at the mouth.
