Darkman X Initiates Epic Return

New York, NY – The Darkman X has gone through his trials and tribulations within the past few years. His constant run-ins with the law continued to make headlines literally the entirety of 2008. X eventually became estranged from his family and his fans throughout all his legal litigations and the personal conflicts within himself. With the time allotted to him to think and retrace his steps, he was awaiting his time to execute his return to an industry that once considered him a heavyweight amongst many others.

Apparently, that time has finally arrived; X has officially made his return into the limelight. He recently performed at the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors event that showcased many other pioneer artists. According to many sources, it doesn’t seem as though he missed a step as he carried out the performance filled with electricity and the same pivotal bark that has been able to stir a crowd. While on the red carpet of the prestigious Hip-Hop event, MTV News spoke to DMX about his return and he was quick to answer.

These were his comments:

“I’m hungry, I’m grounded, I’ve always been grounded. But I’m hungrier. There’s so much bullshit out there. I’m not gonna get into the names. You know who you are. There’s so much bullshit out there. The streets won’t let me forget that they need me and I need them.”

At press time, X plans to continue his original idea of releasing a two disc album one being a traditional Hip-Hop and the other being Gospel. Sources close to X are confirming that he has been in the studio with Swizz Beatz recording new material for the upcoming album. Swizz added on that X has returned to his original state of mind when he used to preach the gutter and the gritty.

That’s what I’m talking about X, show them youngsters what Hip-Hop was really about, he didn’t want to mention names, but we know who he’s talking about. The dog is back and any new material he releases is worth the wait. I question his Gospel talents, but he never ceases to surprise me. I know Swizz is pulling out the arsenal for this one, him and X have always made a great team.

Method Man Confirms Joint Album with Ghostface Killah & Raekwon

New York, NY – The joint LP that we thought would never be, well actually have the opportunity to see the light of day. Ghostface and Raekwon first confirmed the trio’s idea for a joint album sometime last month and news has been circulating about the workprint since the release of Meth and Red’s ‘Blackout! 2’ and Raekwon’s second installment to ‘Only Built for Cuban Linx.’ The three original members of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan featured on different tracks on both albums giving them the initial idea that a trio joint album would be an interesting idea. The three have always provided interesting power hits.

The third final confirmation into the making of the joint LP came recently from Method Man this past Wednesday at the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors when MTV News inquired about his thoughts on the album and the truth into it. According to Blaze, it has been confirmed, greenlit, and they await the time allotted to begin the recording process into the LP. Judging from his ecstatic response, the trio are probably excited about putting this together.

These were his comments to MTV News:

“It feels great. Rae got the album out, Ghost is coming with his album, and all three of us got the album together. And you hearing it here first. I ain’t never said it on tape. … Method, Raekwon, Ghostface — new album.”

At press time, no official word from either artists labels have confirmed the project. The title is still up in the air. As of now, Meth, Ghost, and Rae await scheduling for available time to commence in working and recording the upcoming epic album.

Keep posted to 24hourhiphop.com for updated news on the upcoming joint LP.

We’ll probably won’t see or hear anything from this album until 2010, I mean let’s be real all three artists are far too busy with scheduling conflicts begin recording this album anytime soon. Either way, any material from any original members of the Wu-Tang Clan is worth the wait. This is yet another set of Hip-Hop pioneers that cultivated the music to the forefront of the Hip-Hop that we are missing today. Shout outs to the rest of the Wu-Tang members: Gza, Rza, U-God, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna. Rest in Peace to the truth, Ol’ Dirty Bastard. We are in serious need of a new album from all of them, a return to the 36 Chambers.

Dammit, he’s not even going to step foot in Florida. What happened to FSU, UF, FAMU, and even UM? And what is up with N.E.R.D., I haven’t heard squat from the Neptunes in a long minute. I refuse to fly to Texas for a Jay-Z show.

In case ya’ll missed it, Jay-Z was recently on Oprah (yes I said Oprah), and it was a real big deal in the Hip-Hop world knowing that Oprah isn’t a fan of Hip-Hop. Here is the two part video from recent episode that just aired:
