Miami, FL – The Boss has been quite busy as of late building his empire, which he has been trying to do for some time now. It seems as though after the release of his fourth studio album, ‘Teflon Don,’ Ross finally put aside some time to push forward the finishing touches to the label that houses many growing artists. Rick Ross alongside those artists is all in preparation to release the label’s first upcoming compilation entitled simply ‘Self Made.’

The label Maybach in the beginning already housed artists: Gunplay, Torch, and Young Breed, who comprise Triple Cs alongside Rick Ross, R&B artist Masspike Miles, now the new Maybach has picked up the label’s latest signees Wale, Meek Mill, and Pill. After a quite interesting bidding war between Bad Boy and Cash Money, who are close affiliates of Ross, the Miami Emcee decided to pass on partnering with another Hip-Hop mogul, choosing instead to have the Maybach imprint distribute through the Warner Music Group. After the signing, Ross immediately jumped on his twitter and tweeted the official signing for the entire world to know sometime last month.

The CEO and co-President of Warner Bros. Records, Todd Moscowitz, released a statement sometime last month about their newly-confirmed business relationship with Rick Ross and Maybach Music Group:

“We are thrilled to be in business with Rick Ross, we were drawn to his hustle. Ross is an entrepreneur who built his company from the ground up. He’s a music magnate, a lightning rod, and an empire builder. Our partnership with him is about building a brand that endures. We back his vision all the way and are ready to give him the resources he needs to pursue that vision.”

At press time, starting March 18, Ross will be officially hitting the road with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and famous drummer Travis Barker on the ‘I Am Music II Tour.’ As soon as 24hourhiphop.com receives the tour dates and locations, it will be posted immediately.

Maybach Music Group compilation album entitled ‘Self Made’ will be officially released on May 24, the first to be released under the Warner Music imprint.
