There has been much speculation regarding singer Rihanna and her finally breaking her silence about the altercation between her and Chris Brown. If these reports are true, this will be the first time that she speaks on the issue since their highly publicized domestic dispute last February and it will reportedly be revealed during a televised interview sometime this week.  This Interview is set to take place on Thursday, November 5, 2009 and has been confirmed by ABC. Singersroom reports:

Rihanna will sit down for a one-on-one interview for the first time since February this week. Booked to appear on ABC’s “20/20” ahead of her anticipated appearance on the network’s “Good Morning America” later this month, the “Russian Roulette” singer is expected to tell her side of the story weeks after Chris Brown’s much-talked-about interview with “Larry King Live.”

According to Ace Showbiz:

“The network has confirmed her scheduled appearance on its “Good Morning America ” and “20/20” through a less than one minute promo video. Rihanna will first appear in “Good Morning America” at 7 A.M. on Thursday, November 5. Then, the following day she will come to “20/20″ at 10/9c. The songstress herself hasn’t addressed the report just yet.”

Well Rihanna has yet to comment on this upcoming interview and Chris Brown hasn’t made any statements regarding the interview either. I’m guessing that she is finally just trying to come out with everything so that everyone will finally move on from this situation. Hopefully hearing both sides of the story will shed some light on the situation and stop all of the allegations and rumors that have been spread since last February. Honestly I feel like this: If they have moved on, so should we.

We will keep you posted on this topic. Check out Rihanna’s new single “Russian Roulette.” Her album “Rated R” is set for release with Def Jam on November 23, 2009.

Lil Wayne and Birdman Sued For Copyright Infringement, Again!

You know I wasn’t even surprised when Lil Wayne made the headlines again. It seems as though he can’t seem to stay out of the courtroom especially when it comes to being accused of copyright infringement. According to the Associated Press, Florida native Thomas Marasciullo filed a copyright infringement suit against both Birdman and Lil Wayne on October 30, 2009.

HipHopDx reports:

“Marasciullo claims that Cash Money Records had him speak on several “‘Italian-styled’ spoken word recordings” in 2006, which were subsequently used without pay or permission on the rappers’ joint 2006 album Like Father, Like Son , and Birdman’s 2007 album, 5 (Star) Stunna.”

“Marasciullo claims to have written, recorded and copyrighted the tracks “Loyalty” and “Respect” from Like Father Like Son. In all, the lawsuit claims his recordings were used in four tracks on Like Father, Like Son, and five from 5 (Star) Stunna.”

Honestly I’m not very surprised at all. This isn’t Weezy’s first copyright infringement case, in fact he has been in over 5 suits and it’s really getting old.  Several media outlets report:

“Marasciullo discovered his work had been used when his daughter discovered his ‘Respect’ while trying buy a ring-tone version of the Aretha Franklin classic by the same name,” according to the report. “His son also became entangled in the case when he was fired from a recording engineer job at Cash Money Records after the father started demanding payment, according to the lawsuit.”

Lil Wayne needs to really get it together. It seems like he’s in someone’s court like every other day. I’m wondering when he has time to make all of these babies he has. Well, we will see what happens with this case. Weezy and Birdman has yet to respond to the copyright infringement allegations. We will keep you posted on this frivolous situation!
