When did you start rapping?

“I started rapping when I was 14. I started freestyling.
I grew up in [Washington] D.C. entering a lot of battles. I graduated high school
in D.C. and then moved down to Miami. I was18/19 when I started dropping mixtapes
and freestyles. I had a couple labels that were interested but then I went with
SoBe Entertainment, family business.”

How did you get the name Stack$?

“Stack$ was given to me by another Miami rapper over
at Poe Boy. It was my man Brisco. He was like it represents you for money but
because you’re a pretty crazy individual.”

I got a quote from Brisco saying that you’re
a very good rapper.

“Thank you. Appreciate that.”

What is the name of your album and when does
it drop?

“The album is Crazy and Confuzed. Right now we’re aiming
for a March release. I got a star-studded album.”

What guest do you have?

“Production wise, I have Scott Storch who executive produced
the album. I got Pharell. I’m working with Jazzy Pha and Timbalnad. My man Stevie
J. Feature wise, what I wanted to do with this album I wanted to get artists
that represent every area that contributed to the game. I don’t have a preference.
I appreciate all kinds of hip-hop. I went to the West Coast, I got Game. I went
to Texas, I got Paul Wall. Miami, I had to get Pitbull and Trina. I went to
New York and got Diddy and Fat Joe. I got 8 Ball and MJG. It’ s a lot of people.”

Your first single was “MIA” with Diddy. Being
that you’re from D.C. do you prefer Miami instead of D.C.?

“I’m more comfortable here. But I can’t knock D.C. cause
that’s where I came from. In terms of freestyles and stuff like that, I learn
to appreciate D.C for that. But here is where I crafted my style and made my
music. I got with my man Urban Mystic and that’s how I really learned how to
do the music. I love Miami.”

What is the next single?

“The next single is Git It, Git It with Twista. Twista
is on the album as well. My man Urban Mystic, I’m on his next single called
Bounce.”

You talked about working with Miami artist. Who
have you worked with?

“Right now I’m working with Pitbull, I’ve worked with
Trick [Daddy], Trina right now, and I’ve been messing with Poe Boy for like
2 years now.”

What Miami artists that you haven’t worked with
would u like to work with?

“That I haven’t worked with yet. I haven’t worked with
Pitbull in a minute. Rick Ross as well. There’s so much talent that I know of
but I haven’t had time to get on it cause I was working on the album. But now
that I’m done with the album, I’m going do a few mixtapes and try to put the
spotlight on more.”

How many mixtapes have you put out?

“I put out one that I officially hosted that was done
by Mr. Mauricio from 103.5 The Beat. Right now I’ve been doing a lot of West
Coast mixtapes cause of my single with Game. A lot of west coast mixtapes. Just
grinding it out.”

It was rumored that you spent $300,000 to cut
the roof off the Phantom in the “MIA” video.

“I wouldn’t say that it was that much, but it cost a
good amount to do that. I couldn’t believe the response I got from cutting off
the top of the car. It was crazy. I just did a spread with Ride magazine the
other day on the Phantom.”

Another rumor is are you dating Gloria Velez?

“Are you for real? Haha. No I’m not dating Gloria Valez.
That’s real funny.”

Is it right to say that you’re rich or wealthy
because of who your father is and what he owns?

“I would say that I’m in a very fortunate position with
the music. I’m in a very fortunate situation. I tend to give everything back.
I think Miami is in a great position right now. Especially Pitbull is representing.
I don’t think its touched the potential of where it should be. I’m just trying
to kick in the door for that. Its time to bring Miami to where it should be.”

How do you feel about the Miami movement right
now with Pitbull and Pretty Ricky and others?

“I love it. I hope myself, Urban Mystic and SoBe could
put in more. Miami is not where it should be. Especially in Miami, we need to
collaborate more. Look at what Atlanta did. Everybody is family and that’s why
they’re running the game right now. Miami could do that with the right attitude.”

Some people like you as an artist and some people
think your wack. How do you feel about that?

“People are entitled to their opinion. Not everybody
is going to like you. Criticisms is only going to help you improve. Whether
it’s bad criticism or good criticism. I love positive feedback but I love negative
feedback as well. It makes me look at it in a different light. People are going
to hate. They’re going to have their opinions. At the end of the day, they’re
going to realize that I’m not going anywhere until I prove what I got to do,
then I’m going to keep working.”

What is your goal as an artist?

“My goal as an artist is to put more shine on Miami.
But to make a difference, especially in hip-hop and rap, the content is lacking.
As a fan, there’s not to many people I admire. Like what we do with SoBe Entertainment,
I want to put more young cats out there with hip hop and rapping.”

How old are you?

“I’m 20.”

Do you have any beefs?

“Beefs? There’s a little local Miami beefs that I’m not
going to get into. Like I said, people are going to hate but me as a person,
I don’t have any hatred towards anybody. Once I get a few more hit singles,
I’m sure there will be more [haters], but I ain’t worried about it now, I’m
just focused on what I’m doing.”

What are you doing to promote the album?

“I just did a show in Orlando. And right now we’re trying
to set up a college tour. Working some radio stations and just grinding. I’m
really just promoting the album. Trying to hit everything as possible. We’re
trying to bring everything right now and like I said, to a younger crowd.”

Anything you want to promote?

“Look out for us, SoBe Entertainment. Check out the website
www. stacksmusic.com. Look out for myself and everyone at SoBe.”
