AllHipHop.com–More tragedy has struck former Cash Money Records rapper Tab “Young Turk” Virgil, who is now mourning the loss his long-time manager, Steven Williams, although details surrounding his passing were not available.

Turk issued an exclusive statement to AllHipHop.com surrounding the death of his childhood friend and former manager.

“He was a very good person not only to me but many, how could this be? Steve wasn’t just my manager, he was my friend, brother & business partner,” Turk told AllHipHop.com.

For years, Williams worked tirelessly on behalf of Turk. He also worked with rapper Mystikal as well.

Williams kept a number of media outlets informed about Turk’s case, while promoting the rapper’s career as he serves time in jail for shooting at Memphis S.W.A.T. team members in 2004.

“Steve helped me through the most difficult times in my life these past few years, I was always big brother to him out there,” Turk told AllHipHop.com. “When he was little I drove him and my little brother to their first job the ‘Pizza Shop’ and always told him to make sure he said out the streets, and he listened and became a successful person.”

The news of Williams’ death comes as Turk mourns the loss of his younger brother and close friend, both of whom passed in 2010.

Turk’s younger brother Ronald “Rilo” Smith died in February of 2010 and rapper/close/former Cash Money rapper Magnolia Shorty was also gunned down in December of 2010.

Turk and his publicist, Tiffany Davis, sent condolences to Steve Williams and his family.

“He was an angel on earth, so I know heaven is rejoicing. He helped so many people,” Turk said.
