New York, NY – Tyga is definitely working the course of his career, especially with the recent release of his third studio album ‘Hotel California.’ Since being signed to Young Money/Cash Money, the two albums released under the imprint has garnered him several units in sales. However, it seems as though Tyga has not received his Royal Check from the infamous label. Could Tyga be in the same situation as many artists that has signed to Cash Money in the past, a list that includes Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, and B.G.?

During an interview with NYC Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, Tyga speaks on never receiving a royalty check, but states that he isn’t upset or irate about the situation.

These were his comments:

“I never got a check from Young Money/Cash Money, But by me saying that, I’ve always treated my career like independent and everything that I got is because of myself, my own endorsements, me touring, myself. I think I got a signing bonus when I first signed but that was it.”

Interestingly enough, the young veteran artist is taking the entire situation in stride:

“At a certain time, you get your money but at the same time, they pay for your videos and all that other stuff. But I never really was dependent on the label like that.”

At press time, Tyga’s ‘Hotel California’ has been met with mixed reviews from several different critics, a far reach from last year’s release of ‘Careless World: Rise of the Last King.’
