24HHH: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are?

Frank Castle: Frank Diddy, The Lyrical Assassin, The Metaphorical Genius punishing these whack Emcee's all day. Nah I'm playin'  Its ya boy Frank Castle, the lades call me Frankie tho Haha.

24HHH:How did you come up with your Artist name? Tell us about it.

Frank Castle: Well I wasn't going by that name in my younger years I just started adapting to the name after my boy one day suggested I should go by that name because it sounded Important and it was a strong name, but after he told me that I realized thats the perfect name to pay homage and honor one of my most influential emcee's in my life which is "Big Pun". The name "Frank Castle" Comes from the government name of the comic book character The Punisher, So I thought that name was a perfect way to pay my respects to one of the greats especially since Pun's music influenced me alot as a kid.

24HHH: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there?

Frank Castle:  I'm from 2Six aka "The Elliot-Chelsea Houses" in the lower west side section of Manhattan, New York. Growing up in the projects was really hard, you had to be strong especially when you see drug dealers selling to crackheads everyday and shootouts and people getting thrown off the project roofs, that type of shit effects you as a kid made me more street smart and aware of my surroundings

24HHH: Who were you raised by? Tell us your family situation. Got any brothers, sisters, or any siblings? Tell us about your childhood, and how it impacted your music?

Frank Castle: Shit I could write a book if I were to tell you everything but i'll see if I could make it short for you guys, I was raised by my mother and father I got two brothers and two sisters I'm the youngest, yes I know I am the baby haha. Both of my parents are Puerto Rican. My dad came to this country when he was fourteen and knew little to no english at all so it was kinda hard for him growing up but he managed. My relationship with my dad was good when I was kid he always treated me right and did the right things a father was suppose to do until he passed away when I was fourteen years old which is when life really hit me and molded me differently. My mother worked two jobs as a single mother taking care of me and my brother and sister, my oldest brother got locked up and my oldest sister moved to Florida so they didn't live with us at the time. Hip-Hop was always around me growing up its like I was born into the culture especially where I lived at seeing crackheads walking around, people getting shot and selling drugs nah mean hip-hop was a outlet for the younger generation around that area especially me. My brother used to make me watch these old school 80's flicks like "Breakin", "Beat Street", "Breakin' 2 Electric Bugaloo" and "Wild Style" so I was influenced by the culture at a really young age already plus he always kept these old school cassette tapes lying around the house like Eric B. & Rakim's "Paid And Full", DJ Polo & Kool G Raps "Road To The Riches" A bunch of Tribe tapes, iLLmatic and I even came across Bone Thugz N Harmony's "E. 1999 Eternal" album. So at a early age I was already impacted by hip-hop heavy I gotta hand it to my brother for introducing me to alot of that stuff as a kid.

24HHH: What age did you start making music?

Frank Castle: I recorded my first track at eleven years old, I used to go to a community center in the projects called "The Hudson Guild" and they had a video class for the kids growing up there and stuff like that to keep us out of trouble. I used to go there to watch my friends spit rhymes, write songs, shoot videos and little short films if we wanted to pursue acting you know anything to keep us out of trouble. That's when I started actually writing down my rhymes on this little composition notebook I always carried with me, from then on I worked on writing rhymes day in and day out religiously every day perfecting my craft.

24HHH:• What inspired you to pursue making music?

Frank Castle: The environment I grew up in, My H.O.O.D Brothers. My mom struggling two jobs to take care of me my brother & sister. Life.

24HHH: What artists/producers do you work with? Or rubbed shoulders with?

Frank Castle: Well right now I worked on a couple of joints with my dude "Talen-Ted" hes from Toronto his beats is iLL and he's mad versatile in his style, another iLL dude I worked with is "Danny Dee" all the way from miami he's mad young yo and for his age he got alot of talent on that MPC. And my in house producer "Deem0" coming straight outta Shaolin. (Staten island)

24HHH: What else you got coming out? New Album? or Mixtape/EP?

Frank Castle: Umm I'm planning on releasing A EP called "Downtown Kids" I just dropped the first single "Uplift". Imma release another single real soon before I drop the EP. I'm also working on my 4th mixtape by the end of the year.

24HHH: Tell us about your newest single "Uplift" how did you come up with that, share us the story?

Frank Castle: The song is basically me uplifting those around me and who listens to my music than sell a bunch of garbage and bullshit. I came up with the idea cause I feel there's a real void in hip-hop right now, alot of garbage music and not enough positive messages, don't get me wrong I speak about alot of shit in my music but I felt it was the right timing to do a song that was positive and had good message.

24HHH:  Any new travel plans, what you got going on?

Frank Castle: Thinking about touring out to the west coast and do some shows out there its most definitely in the works, I got love for the west.

24HHH: What is the biggest thing to happen in your career?

Frank Castle: It still hasn't happened yet. Unless you wanna say meeting Hov (Jay-Z) and being denied to spit a 16 for him the biggest thing to happen in my career then yeah that.
