24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Sunny DeVilles: We are The Sunny Devilles,(No-Brainz and Transition) a corny ass Hip-Hop group out of South Florida and shit.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Sunny DeVilles: We’re just products of our environment man. We all met through high school and we shared mutual hate for dumbass people and we just happened to like the same music. We heard a bunch of lame, snap-back, hipster glass wearing rich kids rapping with there parents money and figured instead of hating, we make our own type of music for people like us. People who like real, genuine music.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Sunny DeVilles: There was/is no Hip-Hop scene. Everybody does the same boring ass music and still do ever since we got into Hip-Hop.

24: What makes you Unique as an artist and different from other rappers out now?

Sunny DeVilles: Well, we’re just that “artists” we aren’t “rappers” out here trying to rap for hoes. That shit is a façade. We’re making music to make us feel good, we’re not trying to be “unique” or “different” we’re just trying to be real with ourselves.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Sunny DeVilles: We have like 2 tapes in the works right now, a video called “The Wash” that’s droppin September 30th and we’re rocking some low-key shows. We’re also in the process of finding our own sound, like playing instruments like piano/sax/drums and shit.

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Sunny DeVilles: The Sunny DeVilles have three producers at this point: JusRipe, SwiftFlow and Dapper Danciu. We’re keeping it in-house for now but that’s not to say we aren’t open to collabs in the future.

No-Brainz: “It’d be pretty cool to work with Lil Ugly Mane, BadBadNotGood, StereoLab, New Order, SpaceGhostPurrp and Kanye eventually.”

Transition: “the only people I could imagine connecting with would be BadBadNotGood and SkyWlkr, their styles tight. Along with StereoLab, The Whitest Boy Alive and The Shins.”

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Sunny DeVilles: Yeah, but it isn’t satisfying, we want more. We’re still pretty low-key, but we feel momentum and an audience building. It feels good as fuck.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?

Sunny DeVilles: Sell your soul to this shit.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Sunny DeVilles: Love it man, but you have to look hard for the artists who are actually any good/talented because EVERYBODY is a rapper by the time you graduate high school. Too many rappers, not enough fans.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on.

No-Brainz: “well I just went skydiving, enrolled into college and turned 19, I just do small things to occupy my time when I’m not making music like draw, smoke, do homework, work and write.”

Transition: “I’m writing a book, a compilation of poems I’ve been writing in the past year. I work a day job and if I’m not making music, I’m writing poems, reading a book or painting. I’m an artist man.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2012 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artists out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Sunny DeVilles: The rest of 2012 we’ll be rocking shows, releasing a video or two and droppin tapes. We’ll let the people decide how we’re different from the rest.
