24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Tizzy: I go by the name of Tizzy Wayans. I’m 22 years old, born on Valentine’s Day in Toronto, Canada. I’m very passionate about everything that I do and love. I am also my biggest critic, with everything. I also rep my team SOSMG and my family LucciBang.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Tizzy: Back when I was a kid, I’d annoy my family daily by humming tunes and beating sticks on furniture in the house. I found music very interesting as a whole, but it wasn’t until I heard Kanye West’s production that I would finally be inspired to make music of my own.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Tizzy: As far as I can remember Hip-Hop was a thing of respect and power where I grew up. Artists like Kanye West, Jay-Z, The Diplomats, and G-Unit inspired me the most because they lived the life I imagined I’d have some day.

24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?

Tizzy: I think the fact that I listen to and appreciate many different genres of music, it brings out a unique quality within me. I try not to be like anyone else as much as possible, which is the reason why I continuously go back to perfect my craft.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Tizzy: I am currently working on my mixtape #Skurr dropping in a couple of months from my label SOSMG. Also trying to find my sound, as this is the first official piece of work I’ve ever put together.

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Tizzy: Producers I’ve already worked with are Nick Apa, Adothegod, and others. In the future, it’d be cool to work with Lex Luger, Kanye West, Ryan Leslie, and etc.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Tizzy: I’m not happy, but I’m alright. I don’t think I’ll be truly happy until I’ve hit the highest plateau that I can reach. Other than that, I’m satisfied with the people telling me that they’re feelin’ my music and that I shouldn’t quit.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make your self a household name?

Tizzy: I feel I need to create a signature sound for myself that will get people wanting more from me. With all the energy I bring to every track I rap on I think I am very capable of that. Over time I can only get stronger.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Tizzy: I don’t think Hip-Hop is like what it used to be, but at the same time money has to be made. Things change in life, so the rap game being what it is now makes perfect sense. Although it’s changed so much, I still feel that it’s very entertaining. I personally think the South is running it currently.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Tizzy: Outside of music, I plan on starting college really soon to study business marketing. I also enjoy creating instrumentals (which was my initial reason for getting into rap) as well as giving females advice on how to better their lives.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2012 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Tizzy: I see myself blowing up gradually this year, working harder to achieve success. By staying humble and patient I believe that one day people will recognize who I am and what I’m about.
