Who is Ray J trying to fool? We all know who his latest release ‘I Hit First’ is directed towards without any doubt. Between the lyrics and the hook, the song is literally talking about Kim Kardashian. As a matter of fact, I believe he knew exactly what he was doing with the release of this song, receive the media exposure he is getting now.

Apparently, Ray J begs to differ. He is claiming that the song is not about Kim K, but rather himself. Earlier in the week, Ray J was interviewed on ‘The All Out Show’ on Shade 45, of course the topic was the release of his controversial song.

These were his comments:

“I mean a lot of people saying a lot of different things about the record. For me, the record is self-explanatory. Like I tell everybody, I’m not trying to put fuel on the fire. You know what I’m saying? We just want people to enjoy the record. It’s more so about me than anybody else.”

And of course, the question arose of whether or not Kanye West should be upset with the song, being that he is Kim’s current boyfriend:

“I don’t think nobody should be upset about something that really happened. I think when people do music everybody talks about they life and what they go through. This just my chapter and I think people need to look at it like that and don’t look at it for nothing more than that.”
