24: Some of the readers may remember you from the “Ice Cream Parlor” section as a model so tell me what made you want to start your company “Killture“? And has fashion always been a passion of yours which is one of the reasons you started modeling also?

Odessa: I’ve always loved fashion. In fact for most of my Photo shoots as a model the stuff I have worn has been altered or completely designed by me. It was part of the reason I became interested in modeling.                                   

24: What made you choose the name “Killture “?

Odessa: It’s actually a combination of two words “Kill and Couture“. When people talk about fashion and wanting certain things they usually make the statement “I would kill for that!” So I wanted to create couture pieces that had that effect on on people.

24: What would you say separates “Killture” from other lines with sunglasses?

Odessa: With my glasses everything is hand made and I make sure I pay very close attention to each piece that I create. As well as  offering designs I have come up with my self I also allow people to customize something to their own liking we also can produce any color of shades you can imagine. which is something you wont really find anywhere else!

24: Let the readers know a little about the different shades available in your sunglasses collection right now?

Odessa: Right now I have out “The Gladiator Slave“, “Disco Shades”, “The Gold Chain“, “Wavy Shades” and anything you can think up I can make come to life(smiling)! We have a variety of colors as well not just the typical black, silver and golds. Every single color that’s in the rainbow, we got it!                          

24: Tell me what were inspiration behind each pair of shades in your collection?

Odessa: A particular pair of shades I did was actually inspired by Lady Gaga. She did a song called “Disco Stick” which inspired me and during a lot of her performances she was wearing outfits that looked like disco balls or mirrored masks. I was like hey that would make a Hot & Unique pair of glasses to create.  So I created the “Disco Shades”. They are more for show then for wear all though you can see out of  them which is a question a lot of people ask me when they see them.

24: What should the readers be looking forward from Killture this Spring/Summer because I know your working on other custom accessories as well?
 
Odessa: I’m adding a lot of new sun glass designs for the summer. I’m also working on some apparel and custom jewelry (bracelets, necklaces earring etc) I want to do it all.

Odessa: They can go to www.killture.com to see the collection and shop as well and in the next coming months the readers will also be able to find Killture on a few other online stops and retail stores.
 
24: Marketing plays a huge role when it comes to fashion so if you could have any Entertainer, Artist, Actress, etc Co-Sign your line or be a featured model for your line who would you choose and why?

Odessa: I would definitely  say Lady Gaga & Rihanna because both of them right now are “Fashion Icons”  and everyone is looking at them to see what they are wearing. They both have this style that fits my look.

24: Years from now what do you want the people to say Killture brought to the fashion world?

Odessa: I want people to say I brought a unique edge and look that anyone can feel great wearing!
