Young, ambitious and fabulous just a few words to describe the newly boutique owner and stylist Kimberly Williams. Her motto “Presentation Is Everything” is exactly what she presented over the weekend at the Viceroy Hotel in Downtown Miami. Kim and her latest fashions were in full effect as she not only hosted her fashion show “Flashing Lights” but also showcased what her new boutique “Kim’s Closet” will have to offer this year. If you could not make the show please check out the footage we captured of the eventful night.

After speaking to the Stylista, this is what she had about herself and her new boutique.

Kimberly Williams

Your boutique is fairly new, how long has it been open?
Kim’s Closet Boutique Grand Opening was April 2, 2010 “Good Friday” with family and friends from my home town Memphis, TN. We had Food, Champagne, Live Music, and Shopping! The Hottest New Spot in North Miami Beach!

How do you acquire such amazing pieces in your collection?
In my boutique I feature other designer brands such as Vince Camuto, Free People, Frankie B., Just Cavalli, and Ark&Co.  I travel all over the US researching the market looking for head-turning pieces, where you can walk into a room and say nothing. The style speaks for itself!

You have a new upcoming line called “Presentation” can you tell us more?
Coming in 2011, “Presentation” will be a collection of Vintage and Couture. I want my Clients to feel the “Luxury” of silks, with creative fabrics of Old School prints. I don’t just design clothes, I design dreams.

How do you choose what will be in your collection?
The Boutique represents the newest trends in fashion. Everything in this Closet I would wear!

What would you say sets your fashion boutique aside from others?
When my clients come in I want them to feel comfortable as if they were home in their own closet. I play Soul Train Dvds from the 60’s thru the 80’s this gives my Boutique that southern old school feeling, as if I was back at home in Memphis. I love to make women look good. And I’m honest, I want just sell you anything because you like it. I dress women accordingly to what looks good on them.

So what is next for Kim’s Closet?
I will be featured in the Sobe Hairshow Oct 9-10th. I will also be having “Cocktail and Couture” late Octocber. Cocktails, Music, and a full make-over! “Will It Be You?” In December I will be hosting a “Black and White Affair” Red carpet Extravaganza for my Birthday, details Coming Soon! Also, December 9th-12th, 2010 The 6th Annual Florida Entertainment Summit Miami, I will be assisting in the Cordination of Fashion Day December 10th, 2010 featuring designer showcases and independent designers market.
