24HourHipHop staff had the pleasure of vibing and enjoying the most anticipated reggae concert of the year in South Florida. The 8th annual Best of the Best Concert was filled with bright colors, lively music, rhythmic dancing and awesome, awesome performances and great food. Some of the artists that graced the stage was Barrington Levy, Tarrus Riley, Cocoa Tea, Singing Melody, Elephant Man, Bungai Garline and much, much more.
For those that don’t know; The Best of Best concert is an all day International Music Festival filled with the best live Caribbean music performances around. This concert is considered one of the largest Reggae, Hip Hop, R&B, Soca festival in the states right now.
My favorite part of the concert besides the great music and artist , was the food on site. I made sure I grabbed some jerk chicken and griot as we enjoyed the sounds of Tarrus Riley singing my homie @ChaChaBabie favorite song “Gimme a likkle bit one drop”….. VIP section kept the drinks flowing and the music kept playing, and yes the air smelled nice. Raga Shanti was the MC and between the performances and his mixes this was one crazy hyped festival.
The legendary Beres Hammond gave one awesome performance, the crowd went crazy and I was right along with them. And shout out to Beanie Man that had the crowd literally screaming and singing along with him from the time he hit the stage to the time he got off that bishhhhhh.
@Chachababie enjoyed the concert and she said the best part was seeing legendary artists and the new generation of artists coming together in a peaceful event.
Big ups to the sponsors, artists, vendors, and especially the fans that came out and represented their cultures and enjoyed another Best of Best blowout, until next year……
